The new route will be followed by the planned introduction of flights between Entebbe and Kigali, Rwanda. The two routes will increase the airline’s network to 19 destinations across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
The airline’s destinations include London-Gatwick, serving both regional travellers and passengers travelling longer distances.
Although marketed as direct flights, the Entebbe–Accra service will include a stopover in Lagos, Nigeria. The same Boeing 737-800 aircraft will operate the route four times a week, according to Uganda Airlines.
The expansion is expected to provide travellers with more options for moving between Uganda and other African markets while strengthening connections for business and tourism.
