Uganda Airlines has expanded its African network with the launch of direct flights between Entebbe and Accra, Ghana, marking a significant step in strengthening connectivity between East and West Africa.
The national carrier announced that it will operate four weekly flights on the new route, providing travelers with a direct link between Uganda and one of West Africa's key economic and commercial hubs.
The launch is expected to boost trade, tourism, investment, and business travel between the two countries while offering passengers more convenient travel options across the continent.
Uganda Airlines described the milestone as the "crane landing in West Africa," reflecting the airline's continued efforts to expand its footprint beyond East Africa and connect Uganda to more destinations across the continent.
The new Accra route adds to the airline's growing network and is expected to enhance regional integration and economic cooperation between East and West Africa.
