Tooro King Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I has given Acting Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire until November 12, 2026, to submit an accountability report on projects implemented during the reign of the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

The directive was issued during the first meeting of the Tooro Kingdom’s Supreme Council (Orukurato) since Nyabongo’s coronation on September 29, 2026.

The king directed the council to review the report for seven days before forwarding it to his office for further scrutiny.

The council is scheduled to reconvene on November 27, 2026, to determine the way forward.

Nyabongo said Rwomiire’s appointment was intended to ensure continuity of development projects initiated under the late king, in line with his coronation pledge.
