I wish to set the record straight by stating that, Influence is not the same as Power and it's certainly NOT about how much money any one have.
In addition, it's not about anyone who shouts loudest , or wields the most clout in a negotiation - and its effects can be deep, widespread and long-lasting.
In this day and age inside and outside our beloved country of Tanzania (Tanganyika & Zanzibar) and well as those in the diaspora, there are myriad influences at work on all of us every day: someone, somewhere will be trying to shape our choices, from the type of music we listen to, to how we vote.
Some of these individuals are visible and some are hidden, but yet they influence us directly or indirectly, regardless of their politics, race, religion, gender or otherwise, they still influence us: bloggers, sports people, inventors, writers, even politicians what we love to hate so much here on Jamiiforums whose dedication in their chosen field is an inspiration to this nation of 49 million people and beyond.
The criteria will be simple:
1.Each nominated individual must/has demonstrated outstanding qualities of influence, inspiration and achievement
2.For politician to make it into JF POWER 500 under 45 years they need to be making radical waves
3.For business figure to be included they need to have done something significant
The idea is to reveal some key 500 INFLUENTIAL TANZANIANS UNDER 40yrs behind the scenes who names may be unknown to JF members or readers but whose opinions and decisions can have a direct effect on almost every aspect of our lives by giving us fresh stimulus to our thinking and lead by example as they show us exceptional talent, unswerving dedication and sheer hard work can achieve. We need a list that will paint a portrait of dynamic and confident individuals why are defying all sorts of stereotypes and actively reshaping the status quo how and abroad.
NOTE: one nominated person per post and state why you have nominated the individual
