There is no EAC Tourism without Tanzania, before implementing Single Tourist Visa for all EAC member countries certain conditions must be implemented first, which will benefit a country which will be visited by the guests. Otherwise Kenya will earn more money using single tourist visa......

Selfishness costs the weak members of the EAC than they do to the strong.....TZ will always play second fiddle to Kenya no matter how hard we try to challenge them....................they are just too strong for us.

Why do you want to believe that this single tourist visa issue must have originated from Kenya?

Am glads you took note of this besides if we are serious about promoting tourism visa ought to be issued for free there is very little cash generated from them when compared with money spent by tourist during their visitation tenure..................remember jobs too are at stake when we waste time and energy in these useless fights of who get what...............that is about what governments get but what about the people's jobs? No politician cares in this country because they have well paying jobs themselves and their children too!

Tanzania has more touristic attractions and natural resources than kenya,uganda and rwanda combined. We need to be very cautious on not issuing visa just to every tom,dick and harry!Revenue vis a vis Security concerns matter!

If you believe this then you will believe anything. Why are we in EAC kama tunajitosheleza? Unity is strength but apart is weakness. Each nation brings in something of value to the other nations....................if we feel we are better off being outside the EAC then let us end the pretense and get out of the community, for our own sake!

Tanzania has made its position clear, that it's not willing to participate on the implementation of EAC, they obviously have their reasons, lets respect them and move on. Lets fast track the protocols, lets make EAC a reality, it's our moment, whining about Tz's reluctance will only slow us down. Congo and Burundi will soon join us and as they say "unity is strength", combining our experts from the member countries will enable us come up with formidable strategies that will see us join the rich countries.

In Summary

• Beginning January 1, 2014, Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda, dubbed the Coalition of the Willing (CoW), effected a single tourist visa for visitors to their destinations.
• Samuel Sitta, Tanzania's minister for East African Affairs said the country is unlikely to join the single visa territory any time soon.
• Mr Sitta said so far there is no devised mechanism as to how the revenue will be shared, and hence there is no benefit for Tanzania in this arrangement.

BY now everyone knows Tanzania and Tanzania knows its self.
They come slow but later they run, trying to play catch up.
When they were slow in going capitalist or free market, poverty taught them to do a somersault from Ujamaa and try to catch up with the others.When they were slow on integration COW brought them back to their senses and they started complaining of being sidelined from EAC.

Now watch this space. When Tanzania realizes that it has absolutely nothing that the other coutries do not have, yes absolutely nothing and note:-

The best Kilmanjaro view is always from Kenya side and Loitoktok is a town in Kenya which sits on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, you enjoy seeing the best view of the Mt. while you are enjoying a game drive at the Amboseli game reserve on Kenya side. The Masai l2(Top tourist attraction) have their best conservation park next to Amboseli. Tsavo National park just next door to Amboseli probably has the hugest elephants of East Africa and beyond you find the best beaches in East Africa at Mombasa. The eighth wonder of the world, wilde beeste migration takes place at the mara in Kenya, The best view of Lake victoria is obviously in Uganda, jinja and where can you see the Gorillas easily if not Uganda or Rwanda. What is it that one will want to see in Tanzania that is not in the new east africa? i.e Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda? Now which tourist in their right senses will visit one country for the price of three? Obviously when you travel you want to visit as many countries as possible if the budget will allow.

As of now Kenya scooped the World's Leading Safari Destination at the 20th World Travel Awards (WTA) grand finale in Doha, Qatar.
Kenya got the most votes from travel agents worldwide to beat other competing destinations including Tanzania, South Africa, and Botswana. The award comes barely a month after Kenya's tourism marketing agency Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) was voted Africa's leading Tourism Board by WTA. Do you think that the world travel agents are not aware of what is there in Tanzania?
or that they did not take into consideration that al shabab is there in Kenya? In fact dodging alshabab is rapidly becoming a tourist attraction.

Nobody is therefore overly concerned about Tanzania accepting one visa, they come slow but soon they will run, give them six months and watch and listen carefully. In the meantime let the Tourist decide and let the best marketer win.

My advice to Tanzanians? If you can not beat them, join them.
