Tanzania loses battle over Serengeti road project

Naona tumekuwa na unyonge usiokuwa na sababu, kwa kusema Wakenya kuiharibia Tanzania sio sahihi.
ukweli uliosimama hiyo barabara kujengwa katika mbuga ya hifadhi ya serengeti itahathiri kiasi kikubwa
( Ecology ) ikolojia ya wanyama wakati wa kuhama. Serikali ya Tanzania ilifikiria kwa ufupi lakini matatizo
yake ni marefu sana. Wakati wa kiangazi maji ya mito inapokauka na majani kukauka, kimazingira ya hao
wanyama ni lazima kuhamia kwenye mbuga za masai mara kufuata maji pamoja na chakula chao yaani
majani, na mpaka wakati mvua zinapoanza kunyesha serengeti na mito kujaa maji na majani kuchipua
huo ndio unakuwa wakati wa wanyama kurudi serengeti. Na kwa tabia hiyo ya wanyama kwenda Kenya
na kurudi Tanzania kusema kweli haiwezi kuzuilika, hapo Serikali ya Tanzania ni mbinu tu waliyotumia
ya kutaka kuwazuia wanyama wasiwe wanahamia Kenya, na mbinu hiyo ni sawa na kupanga mauaji ya
wanyama, kwa sababu watakuwa hawana maji ya kunywa wala majani ya kula. Na vile vile watakaojaribu
kuvuka barabara watagongwa na magari, kama unavjojua madereva wetu wa bongo awamjali binadamu
je kwa wanyama itakuwaje. Mimi siono kama Serikali ya Kenya ina matatizo bali wamesimamia ukweli ulivyo.

Kipofu hawezi ona labda utokee muujiza, hivi unajua kwamba wananchi wa wilaya ya ngorongoro haeana barabara ya uhalika ya kuwafikisha mkoani kwao? Kipi ni muhimu zaidi, wananchi wa ngorongoro au wanyama wanaobebwa kila wiki wakiwa hai pale loliondo gate na wale waarabu waliouziwa kipande cha mbuga na mwinyi enzi zile. Napata tabu kuamini kwamba una mapenzi ya kweli na watanzania wenzako waishio loliondo, barabara yawezajengwa kwa kuzingatia environmental compliance na bado ikolojia na mazingira yakabaki safi. Mfano ni barabara ya makuyuni- ngorongoro ambayo inapitia kwenye hifadhi ya ziwa manyara barabara hii iko usawa wa ardhi kuruhusu wanyama kupina na pia kuna mikondo inayokatiza barabara na vivuko vya wanyama. Hapajawa na kesi mbaya za kugongwa wanyama zaidi ya accidents kama inavyotokea kwa binadamu. Pia tuna barabara inayopita kwenye hifadhi ya mikumi ambayo sio environment compliant wala hakujawa na shia kubwa ya kuuwa wanyama na kuharibu ikolojia. Sheria zipo kinachotakiwa ni usimamizi eg kusimamia speed limit nk. Barabara ya vumbi toka muugumu kupitia hifadhi ya serengeti na ngorongoro inaongoza kwa uchafuzi wa mazingira kwani vumbi inayotoka wakati mwingine hata mbele huoni miti na majani hukaushwa na vumbi. Sioni point ya kukataa lami na kuwatesa wananchi wa loliondo kwa kigezo cha wanyama na ikolijia wakati waarabu wamejenga uwanja wa ndege na wanaingiza ndege ya mizigo kupakia wanyama hai wakaanzishe zoo kwao. Ikumbukwe pia wanazuia ujenzi huo pamoja na kiwanda cha kuprocess magadi pale ziwa natron kwa kigezo cha framingo. To hell framingo & ecosystem for development of loliondo community. Hifadhi ya Taifa ya Serengeti ni sehemu ya mfumo wa tata wa Serengeti (Serengeti ecosystem) unaojumuisha Masai mara ya Kenya na maeneo mengine ndani ya Tanzania. Hifadhi ya Serengeti na Masai mara zinatambulika kwa samoja kama transboundary protected area,na pia Tanzania imeridhia makubaliano mbalimbali ya kimataifa yanayolinda rasilimali kama hizo. Kwa hili la barabara ya Serengeti, kuna usahihi katikati maamuzi hayo. Tukirudi nyuma,katikati mazingira kama haya Tanzania tulipinga mradi wa bwawa la umeme katikati Mto Mara kwa upande wa Kenya kwa kuwa ujenzi huo ungeingiliana na mtiririko wa maji kuja Hifadhi ya Serengeti na kupitia wanaharakati wa mazingira wa Tanzania tulifanikiwa kusitisha mradi ule,je hatupaswi kuliangalia hili la ujenzi wa barabara kwa Mzaramo huohuo wa kiikolojia? Barabara kuunganisha miji hiyo ni muhimu lakini kwani ni lazima kupitia hapo Hifadhi Serengeti? Kwanini isizunguke kwa upande wa chini ambapo pia kuna makazi ya watu na wanahitaji huduma ya usafiri? Wanyamapori wa Serengeti wanahitaji huduma ya barabara kuu (highway)? Na kama kuna ulazima wa kuijenga barabara hiyo kupitia Serengeti teknolojia na mipango mbadala isiyoleta athari kubwa kwa mazingira hazipo? There is a room to plan better and serve the pristine biodiversity of Serengeti,Tanzanians lets go back to the drawing table and find an an ideal way of implementing that project rather than forcing it through Serengeti National Park.

Mfumo tata (ecosystem) ya Serengeti kwa kufahamisha tu,mwingiliano wake ndio unaowezesha hata uwepo wa makazi ya binadamu huko Lolindo. Mfumo huu utakapovurugika hata hao binadamu wakaao Lolindo watapahama pia,nature is perfect on this. By saying to hell with the flamingos and the ecosystem is just Pole hommiin suicide. Nashawishika kuamini hujui unaishi kwasababu mazingira ndio yanakuwezesha kuishi.
 
Mwisho tutaambiwa na hiyo barabara inayopita mikumi tuichimbue haraka.

Pengine nikujulishe tu kuwa miongoni mwa tuliyojifunza kutokana na barabara ya mikumi ndio yamechangia katikati kulta shaka zaidi kuhusu barabara ya Serengeti na hata mipango ipo na inaendelea kurejesha barabara ya jamani ilokuwa inapitia kilosa badala ya kupitia mikumi.
 
I have time on end stated this ANIMALS are known to adept to changes around their environments but than, we, HUMANS's otherwise problems are somehow being sacrificed due the otherwise ANIMALS!!

Wonder if the concerns are ANIMALS than why do the others keep the ANIMALS in Zoo's? why are there no concerns then of their 'jailed' environments?

It's time Tanzania takes its own DECISIONS for the WELFARE of its citizens, if not, than they should provide PASSPORTS to the ANIMALS as well and yes, charge them Resident Permits, Visa's when they come back from KENYA!!

Tewe, you have to understand that Serengeti national park , is the park to be protect from loss,
and to conserve our national heritage in the face of bewildering change. The aims to ease
transport problem facing poor communities sarrounding the park, still is not a concrete reason
to make to built the road through serengeti national park. The road will hinder the annual migration
of two million wildbeest ( Nyumbu)
Tanzania goverment must to use another option to solve the problem, also you have to think and
advice the goverment the plan B. but not through to serengeti national park, for my opinion the
alternative route also can be built outside to the edge sorrounding serengeti national park.
At last if their is airport built in any national park reserve you have to know that's abuse and illegal.
the small airport in any national park must be natural i mean in the desert of grass.
suspicion on you are thinking capacity.

..hizo fee za mipakani labda authorities wanataka kuhakikisha tunapata maximum profits.

..pia kuna tourist attraction nyingi zaidi, na nzuri zaidi huku Tanzania as compared to Kenya. tourists are really being short charged na wa-Kenya.
