I dont think if you know what you are prophesying! We are not going to suffer anything for not being in the federation and only short sighted person like you can come out applauding such a move. Take it from me that Kenyans (the people) are not going to support it, I am sure 100%. It is not about what your dictator leaders are fantacing but what people of each Partner State in the EAC will decide. We need an economically strong East Africa. This is what our people need. By achieving this, political integration will come automatically and it doesn't mean a centralised governance. I used to respect Rwanda and PK for being long sighted and calculative in building their economy through regional integration. Currently I have realised that you have lost sight of what you wanted! The same mistake M7 did when he thought he is indispensable and what Uganda achieved or wished to achieve, he is the only one with the magic stick!. There are economic difficulties and leadership challenges facing Rwanda due to changing situation in DRC and they may be fooling themselves that by attaching themselves to other economies and politics, they can survive a trauma! I believe Rwanda can take stock of their success if were genuine and not a bubble gum sweetness and craft their new strategy as old tricks seem not to work anymore. The point you are missing is that Tanzania will not and has not been against the EAC but needed time to agree internally on the benefits of our cooperation, economic benefits and not to politicise the Community they way these three Gentlemen are doing. It is people wish and not leaders decision as we have people centred government and not a one man show of your country! Rafiki yangu Murutongore, vipi uchaguzi wenu wa maigizo nani kashinda usanii?

Can our friend Murutongore enlighten us on the benefits arising from fast tracking political federation rather than concentrating on building our regional economy? I believe that we still need to dialogue on issues which we think are holding other Partner States in opening up their economies to other or rather removing barriers. Unfortunately the three giants of the Community (Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda) have continued to embrace protectionism and not Tanzania alone. Those frontpage resolutions of the three Gentlemen are deceitful as the situation on ground is quite different. Chezea Kenya wewe!

Lets live to see the Federation if at all will come!

What happened in 1977 still lingers in our hearts. How can we easily forget like that?
Remember the aftermath of the collapse of EAC in 1977 was catastrophic to the economy of Tanzania. You guys took everything from air planes to locomotives! Tanzania was played like a grand piano and as a result there are some sectors of the economy couldn't recover up to this day e.g. commercial aviation.
Yet you have the nerve of trying to bully Tanzanians and force them to jump in this band wagon!
Do you think Tanzanians are amnesiac?
Once beaten, twice shy my friend.
Good luck with your EAC which to me is nothing but partnership in poverty!!!

Mmoja tayari yuko icc bado mawarlord kagame na mu7. Kagame ndio mnoko namba moja siku si nyingi atatinga icc. Ona.., alipoingia tu yeye EAC kajifanya kama yeye ndio don wa EAC wakati ni kauaji tu. Hila na roho mbaya ndio trademark yake.

Federation sio muarobaini kwa matatizo ya Tanzania. Naamini kuwa tungane maswala ya kiuchumi na si kisiasa! EAC tulivurunda baada ya kuingiza siasa za viongozi wetu. Naamini wameamua vema wanne kuanza EU ilianza na nchi sita hivi kam EEC na sasa wamekuwa EU na nchi zaidi ya ishirini. Ufanisi na umakini wa federation hiyo itafanya hata nchi nyingine zaidi ya Tanzania kujiunga. May be we are taking the British stand on EU issues. We will join the bandwagon when we are ready. Borrowing form Ngugi wa Thiong'o 'Ngaahika ndeenda"

I wonder how will you call these people who murdered CUF Members in Pemba in 2001,Who threw bomb into the Opposition Party's rally,Who attacked,killed and injured some Opposition Party's Supporters during political rallies,Who attacked,injured and even killed journalists.How will you call them?Tell me!!
 
Well, CUF was free to file a case to ICC instead of complaining in the cold
