Reports from Italy claim that Real Madrid are back pedaling their advances for France midfielder Paul Pogba.

The directors from Real Madrid have been heavily interested in signing Pogba, even to the point of making an offer to his agent Mino Raiola.

There was supposed to be a meeting this week between Juventus and Real Madrid to clarify the futures of a few players like Pogba, Morata and Kovacic. However it appears that never came to fruition.

Following Pogba’s sub-par performance in the opener, Los Blancos are having doubts on the valuation placed by Juventus.

Real Madrid are suddenly not willing to pay more than €100 million and Juventus are not coming down on their asking price. He’s simply too key to the project to win a Champions League for Juve. [Source Mediaset]
