Rumour:

Real Madrid have apparently targeted Riyad Mahrez, who has reportedly been offered a new £100,000-per-week contract by Leicester City as the Foxes attempt to keep hold of their star winger.

French sources claim that Mahrez, 25, has previously admitted it is "possible" he could leave the King Power Stadium this summer, but if he does opt to depart, "Leicester will demand a figure of over £30 million."

This would be more than affordable for a club of Real Madrid's stature, and Los Blancos were reported to have offered Mahrez a deal as they looked to make him the latest Galactico signing at the Bernabeu.

His phenomenal return of 17 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League last season saw him deservedly crowned PFA Player of the Year this season. [Source France Football]

Bale: "I never said that England didn't have passion and pride, I just feel in my opinion that we [Wales] have more."

"I'm sure they have their opinion that they have more also. I'm happy with my comments."

"I feel we've got a massive team spirit, one of the best I've seen and that's just my opinion."

"People can say what they want. Someone said I disrespected England, which wasn't the case. They're entitled to their opinion"

"I really don't care what they say to be honest. If they feel they have the better squad, good for them."

"We know we're a good team and we know we can beat them on our day." [AS]

The potential signing of Paul Pogba will not come easy to Real Madrid, who now know the total cost of the deal would be 315 million euros.

According to 'The Party of 12' on COPE, Florentino Perez has been in a state of shock regarding the financial demands of Juventus, the player and his agent, Mino Raiola.

The Bianconeri hierarchy are unwilling to give any kind of leeway and have stamped a 140 million euros price tag on the former Manchester United midfielder.

Unwilling to spend over 100 million, Real face an uphill battle if negotiations are to progress.
