Official: Cüneyt Çakir will officiate the Champions League match between Manchester City & Real Madrid.

In the 2011/12 campaign he refereed the Real Madrid v Olympique de Lyon game on Matchday 3 of the group stages (4-0). Whilst in the 2012/13 edition he was handed the Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund showdown in Matchday 4 of the group stages (2-2) and was also the man in the middle for the second-leg round-of-16 clash between Manchester United and Real Madrid (1-2). This term he officiated the Malmö v Real Madrid game in Matchday 2 of the group stages (0-2).

The squad returned to training at Real Madrid City following on from the victory over Rayo Vallecano, as the Whites began their preparations ahead of the Champions League semi-final clash against Manchester City (Tuesday, 08:45pm CET). Cristiano Ronaldo and the players who featured most prominently at Vallecas did running drills along the rest of their teammates, before completing the session indoors.

After the warm-up, the players practiced shooting into small-sized goals and worked on possession and pressure drills. The session ended with a game on a small-sized pitch and crossing and finishing drills. Gareth Bale, Pepe and Karim Benzema trained indoors for the duration of the session.
