Reports: Real Madrid concerned with
Cristiano Ronaldo's frequent trips to
Morocco.
Real Madrid are reportedly growing worried with
their star forward Cristiano Ronaldo after
reports mentioned that the Portuguese captain
has been continuously taking trips to Morocco to
meet his friend Badr Hari.
According to the report, Ronaldo has been using
every free afternoon to meet Moroccan-Dutch
champion kickboxer, Badr Hari in Rabat, which is
on the north coast of Morocco.
After training each day, Ronaldo supposedly
takes his ?19m Euros private jet to fly across the
Atlantic to meet his friend. He flies back to the
Spanish capital the same night to attend training
the next day.
The Real Madrid management are concerned
that these frequent trips are affecting Ronaldo's
on-field performances. Ronaldo has been off
colour in most of the matches he has played this
season.
?Many voices inside Bernabeu suggest that
Benitez and many of Real Madrid?s highest paid
players, including Ronaldo, have begun a battle
without a happy ending, especially with the
ongoing CR7 trips to Morocco in his brand new
jet,? Spanish newspaper Extra Confidencial
wrote.
After the Portuguese made many trips during
the last one month, many pictures of the
Moroccan Hari and Ronaldo having a good time
surfaced on social media.
Many Spanish newspapers have criticised the
close relationship between Ronaldo and Hari. El
Mundo termed their relationship as
"controversial?. The newspaper also goes on to
claim that the Moroccan is one who has
threatened other people and that he is ?irritable,
aggressive and physically violent?.
Badr Hari has dual nationality, being born in the
Netherlands and is one of the most popular
figures in the world of kickboxing. He plies his
trade in the heavyweight category. In 118 fights,
he has lost only 12.
However, he been involved in a number of
unsportsmanlike incidents while playing.
Outside the ring, Hari is allegedly known to have
committed crimes of violence. He has been
arrested multiple times on assault charges.
Whether Ronaldo's performances on the field
have anything to do with his trips to Rabat is
definitely plausible, as the frequent flying could
affect his fitness to an extent. In addition to that,
during the past few months, his relationship with
Real Madrid has been anything but cordial.
The Real Madrid top brass will be hoping that
Ronaldo puts an end to his frequent flying and
focus more on his job on the field. If things take
a turn for the worse, we could very well be
seeing Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid in the
summer transfer window.
