Sky Sports Journalist Guilem Blague confirmed it yesterday that Ramos will not leave Real unless a team pays €200m for him.

Ramos is clearly unhappy because of the contract renewal conflict but it doesn't mean that he wants to leave. He wants a better contract and Real will offer him soon.

As for De Gea he will definitely join Real and his transfer doesn't have to do anything with Ramos transfer news.

“It is an honour to represent all those who made this accomplishment possible. I hope we are able to celebrate many more titles”, said Emiliano Rodríguez.
The Real Madrid Foundation organised the latest edition of the Luis de Carlos Forum. Entitled The 9 Basketball European Cups, the event which was held in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu was attended by some standout names with first hand experience of this sporting milestone like Emiliano Rodríguez, Clifford Luyk, Pedro Ferrándiz, Rafael Rullán and José Miguel Antúnez.

All the participants joined together to congratulate the current team “for contributing to the improvement of the club's history. If they are able to keep this set up going, they will reach even more finals and win even more titles. Congratulations to the players and the technical staff for getting basketball back to its rightful place”.

Pedro Ferrándiz: “I tried to revolutionise the team”
“I applied all I could to guide the team through a new era of basketball. I feel like I achieved that in my first year with a side in which 75% of the players hailed from the academy. With the new signings we made we put together a strong team with which we won 4 European Cups”.

Clifford Luyk: “These have been 82 historic years”
“I arrived from New York when Ferrándiz signed me and the first person I met after landing in Barajas was Emiliano, who had been described to me as Europe's best player. We're aware that it's important to be humble but the expectation is always there to win titles. Although we might win a game we need to have the mind set that we also have to win the next game around the corner. That is what this club is about”.
RULLÁN: “IT IS AN HONOUR TO REPRESENT THOSE WHO, OVER THE COURSE OF THE DECADES, WON THESE CUPS”.

Emiliano Rodríguez and Rafael Rullán also took to the floor. The former expressed his happiness with regards to the 9 European Cups: “It is an honour to represent all those who made this accomplishment possible. I hope we are able to celebrate many more titles with our supporters in the Palacio”.

The 1980 final
The Majorcan, for his part, stated: “Back in our day we'd get really excited about playing this competition because we were extremely privileged to travel to countries that weren't visited very often, like Switzerland and Egypt. In terms of the Cup we won in 1980 in Berlin, when I scored 27 points, we were the underdogs but Lolo Sainz came up with a different defensive strategy that threw off Maccabi”.

Antúnez was part of the Eighth title win: “Winning the European Cup for the first time in 15 years was incredible. We had a team that understood how to play to the strengths of our star players at that time, like Sabonis and Arlauckas”. For Juan Carlos Sánchez Lázaro, the director of the basketball department, it was incredible “to win after a 20-year wait. We came close on other occasions but to do it at home was hugely important. We hope to be able to celebrate another Luis de Carlos Forum next year to mark 10 European Cup title wins”.

Rafa Benitez:

-We're aware of what Real Madrid means for millions of supporters on every continent. As professionals, we have to fit the club's commitment to its universality with the preparations and demands of pre-season

-So, firstly I have to say that the attitude to their work that they've all shown me, Sergio, Iker, Cristiano, Bale, Pepe, Varane, everyone, has been excellent.

-I've been hired to take on responsibilities and I will do so, we'll try to create a working environment that enables us to get results. That's why I'm optimistic, because we have the means, the ability, the commitment and the dedication that will help us to meet our objectives

Marca | The Whites and Casillas know that if things go as planned, Iker will not play for Real Madrid next season, his lifelong club.

- Casillas's departure is a decision being taken by the club, in which Benítez has little say.

- David De Gea has not at any point asked for Casillas to go in order to sign.

Manchester United will have to put Sergio Ramos on around £260,000 a week and make him joint top earner at the club alongside Wayne Rooney if they want to entice him from Real Madrid.

Ramos is already the best-paid centre half in the world on a deal worth €8million a year net in Spain - which equates to a gross annual SALARY of around £10.7m in England.

He is asking Real Madrid for €10m net - and with UK tax rates United would have to pay £13.5m a year or £260,000 a week to meet that.

While a move away from Real Madrid is not totally out of the question for Sergio Ramos this summer, current reports seem more likely to have been managed to secure a new and improved deal at the Bernabeu.
