King Juan Carlos to attend Champions League final in Cardiff

Real Madrid will have a high-profile supporter as they take on Juventus in Saturday's Champions League final, with former King of Spain Juan Carlos travelling to Wales to take in the match along with other Spanish officials.

Just days before his abdication in 2014, he also attended the final between Los Blancos and their city rivals Atletico in Lisbon, while his successor King Felipe VI took in the 2016 showpiece even between the same two teams in Milan.

Mariano Rajoy, the country's prime minister, also plans to attend Saturday's game at the National Stadium of Wales, even if his presence is not yet confirmed.
