Real Madrid are waiting for Moussa Sissoko to ask to leave Newcastle United before making an offer according to Spanish sources.

The France international is Los Blancos’ most likely signing in midfield after Marco Verratti signed a new contract to stay at PSG.

English sources also claim a Madrid offer will come for Sissoko by the end of the week but Madrid would like Sissoko to formally ask to leave the Magpies before making an approach.

The £35m price tag on Sissoko may slow things down but it appears Madrid may offer the Championship club 2 young players, most probably Mariano Diaz and Marcos Llorente, on season-long loans in order to make a deal more attractive. [Source AS]
