CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

In just one day, we shall be going to polls. While we're doing everything possible to ensure that we have polling agents at every polling station, we know that the regime will try to stop some and arrest others. The first step is for all of us to stay at the polling stations (while observing the 20-metre distance) and ensure that nothing criminal happens. We implore everyone to use their cameras and record anything irregular. In addition to posting it online, we shall provide WhatsApp contacts through which that evidence may be sent.

The second step is to ensure that in case our agents are arrested or blocked, we get the DR Forms, take their pictures, and upload them through this app! The law requires every presiding officer to pin a copy of the DR form at a visible place at a polling station. Let's all ensure that happens and take the pictures, and upload them. Even if the internet is switched off, upload the DR form, and it will reflect as soon as the internet is restored. LET'S ALL GET INVOLVED.

All over Uganda, the change yearning masses demonstrated solidarity with our liberation cause. The young and the elderly were all eager to see a new beginning. They yearned for a country where their rights and economic prosperity would be guaranteed. A country with shared growth and development. On January 15th, the masses asserted their voice and voted for the umbrella symbol at all elective levels but unfortunately their voice was usurped by the gunmen who strived to retain a militaristic regime. The general election was largely a military operation that silenced the voice of the majority. Despite all this, Ugandans are still united as one and are eager to have a functioning democracy that runs on constitutionalism and rule of law.

We have today convened at our revolutionary headquarters in Makerere Kavule where we have addressed the nation on a range of issues especially concerning the just concluded general election which was characterized by its militaristic nature. In our address, we have urged all Ugandans especially victims of state inspired election violence to come forth and reach out to us with substantial evidence to support our domestic and international legal cases that we intend to file. We will also sue the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for contempt of court in reference to the January 2025 landmark judgement that ordered for the transfer of cases of Ugandans under military courts. Our suit is triggered by the uncertain fate of our comrades like Machete and group who are neither in the military courts nor civilian courts yet they’ve been on prison remand since 2021.

We have also strongly condemned the regime brutality, electoral malpractice, and the numerous irregularities that we all witnessed during the just concluded general elections. We have urged other leaders, including religious leaders, and Ugandans of good conscience to raise their voices against these injustices and the broader issue of bad governance, considering that it affects everyone, not just political actors.

Meanwhile, we intend to meet our leaders from across the different sub region of the country starting with the Kampala metropolitan area.
