Mkuu kwa gar hiz za toyoyota hali hyo mara nying hutokea ring piston zikiwa zimechoka, nasema hv kwa kuwa hata mm kuna siku nifanya hvyo nikaona oil inatoka kama mvuke hv nikashangaa...ikabidi niangalie gari nyingine yenye injin kma yangu na ni mpya zaid ya yakwangu, kiukweli gar ikiwa vizur ukichomoa dip stick haifanyi hvyo, kama huamini tafuta gari ambayo haitoi moshi halafu chomoa dip stk utaona, mm nilifatilia ya kwangu kweli nilibain kuwa inatoa moshi japo sio mwingi sana, nilivyobadili injin hata nikichomoa dip stk ile hali siioni tena, ebujaribu kufanja tafit kwenye injin nyingine mkuu ili ujiridhishe zaid.
Sawa mkuu...hili jambo lina mkanganyiko sana...gari yako ni ya petrol?
Oil kusplash kwenye tundu la dipstick haisababishwi na piston rings, ila kweli iwapo unaona moshi ndio unatoka kwenye tundu hilo basi hapo ndipo unaweza kuhofia piston rings kwamba zinaruhusu moshi kuingia kwenye crankcase badala ya kwenda kwenye exhaust. Na ikitokea hali hiyo, moshi huo huanza kujitokeza pole pole hata bila kufunua dip stick, na vile vile injini huanza kusihiwa nguvu kupanda milimani.

Kama huoni moshi kwenye tundu hilo, usihanganike kabisa na piston rings. Sababu pekee inayoweza kuingia kichwani mwangu mara moja ni kuwa inawezekana ventilation valve inayoingiza hewa kwenye crankcase imeziba kwa hiyo ndani kuna vacuum inayosababisha mafuta yavutwe nje kwenye sehemu yoyote iliyofunguka. Valve hii unaweza kuibadilisha mwenyewe kwa kama dola 3 tu; inaitwa Postive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV).

For me lazima oil irukeruke kwakua pump inafanya kazi vizuri...
Hapana oil pump husukuma oli hiyo kwenye injini, dip stick inakwenda kwenye oil tank. Hiyo inayoruka nje ni kwa sababu inagongwa na crankshaft wakati injini inaunguruma. Kama ndani ya tank pressure ni ndogo basi matone yale yanaweza kuruka hadi nje ya tundu la dipstick.

Hizo ni kwa ajili ya matumizi ya safari za mwendo wa spidi ndogo, kwa mfano kwenye foleni za mjini au wakati wa msululu wa harusi au wa kusindikza maiti kwenda mazikoni.

Na oil za SAE40 kwa gari ndogo zina madhara gani?
Oil za SAE40 ni sawa kabisa na 10W-40 au 20W-40 ila hazihimili mazingira ya baridi; zinaweza kufanya kazi vizuri tu kwenye injini yenye umri mkubwa lakini ni nzito kidiogo kwa gari ambayo bado ni kinda; gari hadi inapofikia km100,000 bado ni kinda.

Yawezekana pia inakukumbusha mda wa kubadilisha engine belt umefika
Yes kweli kabisa hiyo ni sababu mojawapo; ndiyo maana majibu kamili yanatokana na computer scan. Hata hivyo timing belt ikianza kutuma ujumbe, lazima engine perfomance pia huanza kuharibika, na dereva ata-notice mabadiliko ya tabia za gari. halafu ile belt ya serpentine ikichoika utaanza kusikia sauti za mkwaruzo

Kuna mwana specs za gari zinataka 5w-30 yeye akang'ang'ania hio SAE40 kisa ni bei rahisi(kuna sehemu lita 4 wanauza Tsh.28,000) wkt 5w-30 lita 4 nanunua Tsh.80,000,aisee gari yake hua inaunguruma kama tractor/matatizo kwny gari yake ni kila mara imebidi juzi hapa aweke engine nyingine.

Angalia pia Catalytic converter kama ipo...kuna baadhi ya mafundi ukiwaachia gari wanaiba yale masega na kuyauza bei ghali...

Baadhi ya magari yana Oxygen sensor 2, moja huwa kabla ya cat na nyingine huwa baada ya cat....endapo yale masega yameondolewa, basi ile sensor ya pili hushindwa kusoma kiwango cha oxygen ambacho hakijaunguzwa kwenye combustion chamber....kwa nini inashindwa kusoma..? kwa sababu hamna cat hivyo gesi zinapita pale kwa kasi zaidi kuliko kiwango kilichokuwepo mwanzo...Hivyo Oxygen sensor hupeleka taarifa kwwnye ECU kuwa kuna shida katika mfumo wa exhaust...ndiyo unapata check engine light...
Japo kuna magari unaweza ukaondoa Cat converter na check engine light isiwake....mfano gari nililonalo..

Kama hawajaiba hayo masega, fuata ushauri wa kichuguu...lakini zingatia zaidi Oxygen sensor na MAF sensor...

Usisahau, kuna magari hayataki shida..hata Air filter ikiwa chafu sana yanaonyesha check engine light.

Kwa gari la mwaka 2000 kama kweli Emmanuel S Jonathan amebadilisha sensors zote, nina uhakika kwa 95% kuwa tatizo lake ni Catalytic Converter. Njia moja ambayo siyo professional lakini unaweza kuzima catalytic converter light forever ni ile ya kuunganisha downstream oxygen sensor mpya kwenye kipande kinachoitwa catalytic converter fouler. States nyingi Marekani haziruhusu matumizi yake lakini watu wanaziuza ebay na Amazon kama kawaida. Nina imani kuwa kitu hiki kwa Tanzania kinaruhusiwa tu, lakini sisi haturuhisiwi kuviweka kwenye magari ya wateja. Kukitumia, inabidi ukiweke sehemu ya Oxygen sensor kwenye cat conv yako, halafu unaingiza oxygen sensor ndani yake. Kwa hiyo Oxygen sensor itakuwa haisomi Oxygen level halisi ya kwenye exhaust bali level iliyoko kwenye fouler hiyo, ambayo ni nzuri. Computer (ECU) ya injini inakuwa inadanganywa kuwa mambo yote ni fit wakati siyo kweli, na hivyo taa haiwaki kabisa.

Mtu akivichangamkia Tanzania anaweza kulamba hela nzuri tu.

Nipo Toyata yaris (Vitz) yenye engine ya 2SZ then is it safe kuweka oil grade SAE40? Ambayo ni mineral oil na sio synthetic na nikawa na change after few km Mfano 3000km?? (note: my car has 150, 000km on clock though still running strong with original engine.

Swali lingne gari yangu ipo na gearbox ya CVT, then what is recommended interval ya change CVT transmission fluid kwa gari ya gear box hyo?


Tatu, hii gari ipo na option ya engine brake..yan pale kwenye gear lever kuna option B, je gari kwenye speed ya 80km/hr ninaweza shift kwenye B bila kuleta changamoto kwenye engine?

Ni hvi normal automatic gear box nying zina gear 1-4 hvo gari ikiwa kwenye D maana yake itachange gear mpaka 4 kutokana na driving dereva, but ukiweka kwenye specific number maana yake una-limit gari isiweze kubadi gear mpaka kuvuka namba uliochagua. Mfano ukiweka 2 ina maana gari itakua inachezea gear namba 1 mwisho 2, ukiweka 3 ina maana gari itafika mpaka tatu, ukiweka 1 au L au B kwenye gari za cvt gear box maana yake gari haitatoka kwenye gear namba 1 au low gear, ila ukirudisha D itamaliza gear zote kutokana na mahitaji ya dereva na road resistance.

Niliwahi kutumia SAE 40...gari lilikuwa likiwashwa asubuhi, silence inakuwa juu sana na kwa muda mrefu...ilikuwa inakaa kwenye RPM 3 kwa muda zaidi ya dakika 3 au 4ndiyo inashuka pole pole...wakati huo mlio ulikuwa si ule wa kawaida.....ikawa mpka niendeshe umbali fulani injini ipate moto wa kutosha ndiyo mambo yanakaa sawa....hivyo nashauri watu tuzoee 5w 30 utalifurahia gari lako..

Kwaza kama una kitabu chake, soma manufacturer anashauri ubadilishe kila baada ya km ngani, hata hivyo CVT transmission nyingi katika uendesjhaji wa mijini ambako kuna traffic lights na folleni nyingi hushauriwa kuwa kila baada ya km kati ya 25,000 na 30,000 uwe unabadilisha oil ya transmission pamoja na filter yake. Ingawa kuna mafundi wanaweza kukushauri usibadili oil ile, huo siyo ushauri mzurii kabisa kwani oil yoyote hupoteza sifa zake baada ya kutumika kwa muda fulani, jenga utaratibu wakubadilisha kabla ya kuzidi km 30,000

Hiyo ni kweli na nimeishandika sana hapa; oil namba 40 (yaani SAE40 au 10W-40 au 20W-40) na 50 (yaani SAE50 au 10W-50 au 20W-50) ni kwa ajili ya magari makubwa na yale makuukuu sana. Gari ambalo injini yake bado iko fit, unatakiwa oil namba 20, na ukizidi sana basi ni namba 30 ila usizidi hapo.

Unajua wafanyabiashara wanaenda na mahitaji ya walaji....
Magari mengi yaliyochoka ndiyo wanatumia oili hizi....na watanzania tunapenda mteremko...
Gari kama IST kuliweka SAE 40 ni kulinyanyasa halafu unakuta mtu anaishi Mafinga.

Hizi SAE 40 zinauzwa 28000 mpaka 3500 kutegemea na aina na mahali ulipo..

5w 30 lita nne Total unapata kwa 55000 mpaka 6000 kutegemea na mahali unapoishi..
Castrol sehemu nyingi wanaazia 80000..

Tatizo bado linabaki kwa mafundi ambao tunawaamini....watu wengi wanaomiliki magari kwa mara ya kwanza unakuta hawajui mambo mengi...unaenda kumwaga oil kwa mara ya kwanza fundi anakuwekea SAE 40 kwenye passo...anakuambia hii ndiyo inafaa bongo...zile nyepesi ni za nchi za baridi...huenda yupo sawa...ila hajajua 5w 30 ambazo nyingi ni synthetic huweza kuhimili baridi kali sana na joto kali sana...pia inatembea haraka zaidi sehemu za injini unapowasha gari asubuhi....inaongeza fuel efficiency na inavumilia shida ...ndiyo maana magari mengi ya Racing wanatumia 5w 30 au 5w 20

Tuzingatie User Manua za gari zetu..
Kwa mfano nina user Manual ya Nissan yangu yenye HR15 engine....
Wameandika recommended SAE VISCOSITY 5W 30....hii ndiyo waliyoelekeza ila wakaongeza endapo 5w 30 haipatikani kabisa, unaweza kutumia 10W 30 au 10w 40....
Hii 10w 40 ni kwa maeneo yenye joto kali sana kuzidi hata la Dar es Salaam...

Wamiliki wa NISSAN NOTE, TIIDA, WINGROAD, MARCH,SUNNY, JUKE, X TRAIL n.k viscosity iliyopendekezwa ni hiyo niliyotaja....

Hii nadhani inaweza kufaa hata kwa magari ya TOYOTA ambayo ni counterparts wa hizi NISSAN..

SAE 40 NI OIL NZITO SANA KWA HAYA MAGARI NILIYOYATAJA.....UNA-REDUCE LIFE SPAN YA ENGINE YAKO POLE POLE...

Nashukuru kwa feedback..nakubaliana na wewe CVT ipo poa sana, yaan gari inakua ina very steady acceleration with no gear hunting kama ordinary automatic gear, and no gear shift shocks.

Pia came to realize owners wenye gari zenye cvt transmission wengi wana haribiwa magari yao kwa kuwekea hydraulic ambayo sio. Mfano unakuta mtu gari yake inahitaji fluid ya CVT-TC ambayo kwa bongo price yake ina range kati ya usd40-60 lakini wanashauriana na mafundi wa mtaan wanatia ATF, matokeo yake transmission(gearbox) inakufa beyond repair.
