A stupid project which gobble over Tshs 10 T without solving power generation problems as mud, upstream irrigation and vagaries of precipitation will reduce output to a third of installed capacity just like Mtera, Kihansi and Kidatu.

Paradoxically, a lion's share of our power issues are not in generation but in poor transmission which leak at least a third of generated power.

You must be out of your mind to bury Tshs 10 T in the sand while 20% of that money is sufficient to do away with 95% of leakages during transmission.

A prudent politician would have begun tackling the power transmission losses instead of throwing money in an exercise in futility.

But myopic leaders with an eye to a quick buck claim Stigler's Gorge ni "mradi wa kimkakati".....

Misplaced priorities are signatures of a matured venal culture now domineering our wayward politics....

It's a dearth of quality leadership, that is our post independence curse, so far...

Stupid project because it exports jobs, taxes and technology from Africa continuing the invidious path of African countries being staple sources of cheap raw materials and labour.

But TZ will have to insure the stupid pipeline at own cost or bear the consequences if the pipeline is damaged.

Instead of exerting our geographical leverage by insisting all refineries are built in Tanga and at least a third of the refined oil is sold locally no such critical conditions have been asked and secured because our politicians love bribes more than glorifying God..

But the lovers of bribes trouble their own house and he who hates bribes prolong his days on this earth.

We rule the Ugandan oil pipeline is another white elephant which solves western problems at our expense.

This happens when the political class not answerable to the electorate

This is what we label self and unwarranted incriminating evidence. If you know orders from your superior are criminal in nature you refuse to implement them and cite your reasons.

But to claim you knew the orders were illegal and toyed with the idea of resigning but you didn't and still acted against your own conscience is a proof beyond reasonable doubt you are a poor administrator devoid of moral values. You should be axed lest you cause more damage out of your cowardice...

Let your YEAH be YEAH and NAY be NAY and anything in between be from the evil one...

You cannot be a partaker of wickedness and cite a defence of orders from your superiors.

Our question will always be WHY DID YOU OBLIGE...WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY NAY?

We rule that since this is hearsay we are not in a position to ascertain it culminated from the horse's mouth...so we reluctantly make no orders.
