A reporter asks is this still a search and rescue operation, or disaster recovery?
He replies it is still search and rescue - "we still consider this a missing aircraft".
He's asked if the two individuals with stolen passports are the main focus of the investigation.
He replies they are still looking at every possibility.

The search operation will continue by sea during the night, and by air again tomorrow morning, he says.
He asks people not to speculate on what has happened, and not to pick up unconfirmed reports of debris being spotted, for the sake of the relatives.
He says he will not expand on the appearance of the two passengers who travelled on stolen passports while the security investigation continues.

Asked if they are black, he replies: "Yes," but says he does "not want to dwell" on the question.

Until they found the aircraft, they cannot determine what has happened.
He's now talking about the two passengers who travelled using stolen passports, investigators have checked CCTV footage from check in to departure, and all security protocols were complied with, he says.
But he says there's a possibility of the passengers being involved in a stolen passport syndicate.
He adds that contrary to previous reports, they are not Asian looking males.
