Above the clouds sit the NBA's most bankable cross-conference rivalry since Larry Bird's Boston Celtics waged war against Magic Johnson's Los Angeles Lakers. It's more competitive than when the Chicago Bulls tortured the Utah Jazz in the late 90s, and more technically proficient than recent tussles between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

Cleveland and Golden State share six of the world's most dominant 20 players, and that doesn't include Kevin Love, a three-time All-Star. These two squads have squared off in the past two Finals, where a dozen iconic performances occurred.

With Kevin Durant now in the same starting lineup as Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, the Warriors have plenty of weapons. Basketball nirvana is here, inside an organization that may soon elevate the entire sport higher than it's ever been.

Meanwhile, the defending champion Cavs have LeBron James, and LeBron James (at age 31) is still in his prime. For that fact alone, the man deserves a standing ovation. Barring injury, the chance these two teams meet in a third straight Finals (something that's never happened before) is likely enough to convince most of the league to start thinking about 2018.
 
No team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in an NBA Finals series except for LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers who annihilated the hapless 73-9 Golden State Wussies
