"Tutaandamana kupinga mambo haya, Simba wanaona tumewakuta wanaanza fitina," alisema Sendeu.

pointi, mbona kanuni ziko wazi?

The now West Brom boss is preparing to be reunited with the Anfield club on Saturday - two months after being sacked and replaced by Kenny Dalglish.
Hodgson's brief spell in charge of Liverpool was accompanied by the fans calling for Dalglish to take charge, and he says he knew that his time was up once former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett left the club.
He told the Daily Mirror: "The people who employed me didn't stay too long. I think for the new owners they obviously found themselves in a difficult situation because we weren't winning enough games.
"The fans were making it clear they wanted me gone and someone else in. Everyone knows for one minute I can't suggest I felt wanted at Liverpool.
"It is not exactly a secret I wasn't perceived by a lot of people as the manager they wanted at Liverpool. They wanted somebody else and that makes life a lot more difficult.
"It was my misfortune to be at a club where the fans made it pretty clear early on they really wanted the manager they have got now."

This is an old quote from over a month ago, pulled out because of the match.

I think Powder is right. Sure some fans wanted another coach. But it was all up to Roy to change that by improving the morale and performance of the team. Sure he had handicaps, but his worst mistakes and handicaps were of his own making.
Lesson learned for him I hope and he does well at WB - after this weekend.

True a great many always wanted Kenny but most, after Royd was announced, were willing to be reasonable and give him a chance happy that Rafa was gone and looking forward to getting rid of the owners and debt. He asked for a period of games by which to judge him. It turned to shite, we judged him, and he's gone.
Now I'm tired of hearing about him and his whining excuses. If he screws up this job Rafa can come back and manage W.Brom

Good question Celeste, IMHO I think he discounts the taint of his deal with the former owners. That and the fact Kenny has squeezed 10 more points in 7 fewer matches than the reanimated Uncle did with a "not good enough" squad.

Sir Alex Ferguson has dispatched his scouts and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele around the world looking at possible successors to van der Sar.
In recent months they known to have watched Manuel Neuer, Maarten Stekelenburg, Rene Adler and De Gea - whilst also being linked with a number of others.
Recent reports have suggested that United have already lodged an offer for De Gea, and although this has been played down by Atletico - his agent has admitted that contact has been made.
"Well, we did have talks with Manchester United but, first of all, they always look for an agreement with the club," Hector Rincon confirmed. "Anyway, most of the biggest European teams have shown interest in David de Gea."
Rincon insists he does not know whether Atletico would even be willing to sell.
"What I can tell you is that his release clause now is 20 million euros, but I have no idea if the club would sell him for less.
"Right now, the player has a contract with Atletico Madrid and if Manchester United or any other team want him they will have to reach an agreement or pay the whole release clause."
Rincon also revealed that earlier in his career De Gea was wanted by Wigan, whilst also reaffirming that other Premier League clubs are in the hunt for his signature.
"Some time ago, before he became an important player in Atletico, Wigan made an offer, but the club rejected it. Recently, I don't want to say any names but all the big clubs in England and in Europe have asked about him," told Sport.co.uk.

Ancelotti: Blues ready to pounce

Carlo Ancelotti has cranked up the pressure on Manchester United and Arsenal by insisting neither can afford any more mistakes this season.
In what some might construe as the beginning of the managerial mind games for the Premier League run-in, Chelsea manager Ancelotti reiterated his own side needed to win their nine remaining matches to stand any chance of completing one of the great title comebacks.

But the Italian also claimed any further mistakes by United and Arsenal would see the top two pay the ultimate price and miss out on the championship.
"To make a mistake now is very dangerous," said Ancelotti, whose side will take to the field at Stoke on Saturday afternoon looking to pounce on any United slip-up at West Ham.
"Make a mistake here you can lose your possibility to win something.
"It's not just for us. Also Manchester United, also Arsenal. They cannot make a mistake either."
Chelsea are nine points behind United with a game in hand and four adrift of Arsenal.
The champions retaining their title looked unthinkable a month ago as they languished 15 points off top spot.
But a perfect March, which co-incided with a serious blip by their rivals, resurrected their hopes ahead of what will be a season-defining month. And on May 8 they have to visit Old Trafford in the Premier League.
"Always, in April, at the end of the season, you have to play calmly," said Ancelotti, whose side also take on United in the Champions League quarter-finals over the next 12 days.
"For me, we are ready to play.
"Three months ago, November or December, it would have felt like a dream to arrive in this situation now.
"I don't know what we will achieve in the end, but we have a possibility to fight.
"Maybe tomorrow we'll lose the game, but my idea is the team have a good sensation."
The fact Chelsea have managed to haul themselves back into the title race is all the more astonishing considering their strikers have failed to score in the league since Fernando Torres was signed two months ago.
"Fortunately, we didn't need their goals," said Ancelotti, who must know deep down that winning the last nine league games will be impossible unless Torres, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka or Salomon Kalou start finding the net.
"In April, they'll come back to score. You can't lose that ability.
"If you are a top scorer, you'll stay like that until the end of your career."
It could be argued Ancelotti rotating his strikers has not helped any of them end their droughts.
But the Chelsea boss revealed he would persist with the policy and insisted he did not have a preferred forward partnership.
"The choices I make on it are down to the players' physical condition and the tactics," he said, declining to reveal who he had in mind for a Stoke team he refused to underestimate.
"If we want to play on the counter-attack, we'll use Anelka and Torres, players who can move quickly in front.
"When we need more power, we'll use Drogba."
Whatever happens in the title run-in, Chelsea would never resort to undermining referees, according to Ancelotti.
The Premier League are planning a crackdown on the lack of respect they believe managers and players show officials.
Ancelotti admitted his Chelsea squad do not show him much respect when he officiates their training matches but insisted they know not to cross the line when it comes to match day.
"I try to ref every day here and there is a lot of shouting against the referee," he said.
"If you think it is a problem in the Premier League, you should look at other games and other leagues. It's worse in Italy.
"I don't tell my players they have to respect the referees because they know that.
"They know they have to respect the officials and their opponents. That's maybe the first rule of football."

No management future for Anelka

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has ruled out ever becoming a manager - because he could not deal with the kind of player he used to be.
The Frenchman admits he would not have reacted well as a 20-year-old to manager Carlo Ancelotti's current rotation policy, something the older and wiser Anelka has accepted as the status quo at Stamford Bridge.

He told his club's official website: "It is frustrating when you are 20 years old - when you are 32, not anymore.
"Sometimes you are not happy because you want to play, but you have to understand it's part of the game and we have big players.
"You have to make everybody else happy also, and like I said, if you are 20, you don't understand this rotation.
"But if you are 32, I won't say you have nothing to prove, but you have the experience to understand.
"When you're a manager it is even more difficult than playing because you have to keep everybody happy and make choices.
"I know I won't be a manager, I don't want to do it - never!"
Before joining Chelsea, Anelka had a reputation for sulking when things were not going his way.
He demonstrated at last year's World Cup he could still throw a strop, his row with France boss Raymond Domenech seeing him handed an 18-match ban by the French Football Federation.
But he is not about to blow a fuse over Ancelotti's decision to rotate him and Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou.
"I have been playing football for 16 years now," Anelka said.
"Sometimes to rest, even to watch your team-mates from the bench, is not too bad.
"This is a big club and we have big players, so it's like this.
"We do our best on the pitch anyway and we know now, we have a different tactic with two up front.
"We are four, Drogba, Torres, Kalou and me, so we can swap and we know that, even if we have a good game, we may not play in the next game."
Rotation will play a huge part in the next month as Chelsea play at least eight matches, which will define their season.
"It is going to be tough," Anelka said.
"I don't know why they put two or three games in March and then eight in April, but the schedule is like this and we just have to do it.
"We have a lot of games but we have a lot of players and we have a strong squad, so we can rotate and it's good."

Balotelli's first season in the Premier League has been marred by a number of disciplinary problems both on and off the field, sparking talk that he could be set for a return to Italy.
But Mancini insists that he retains faith in the 20-year-old, even if he has told him to change his ways.
He told several national newspapers: "I understand him. He is 20 years old, and at that age people can do stupid things.
"But maybe now the time has come for him to help himself, and to understand the mistakes he is making.
"Otherwise he risks throwing away his abilities, which are immense. He has scored some tremendous goals this season.
"If he does not, then everybody in England will begin to make him a target - starting off with the referees."

The Gunners will be looking to get their Premier League title challenge back on track when Rovers visit the Emirates, and they have been boosted by the news that their Dutch striker is fit to feature.
Van Persie returned from the international break with a minor knee problem he suffered during Tuesday's 5-3 win over Hungary, but initial fears have improved.
Wenger said: "He's all right. He will be in the squad.
"He had a kick on his knee and he had a test this morning - if there is no reaction overnight he should be okay.
"I'm an optimist so there is always the hope that it will not be too severe. That was the case, for once we had good news.
"It's the final part of the season, losing a player now is basically like losing them for the rest of the season.
"We are in the final sprint for the championship so you want all your players available.
"What will decide it will be our performances until the end of the season and therefore you want your key players."

Jewell: We'd consider silly money

Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has admitted that Connor Wickham could be sold if 'silly money' is offered by suitors Liverpool or Tottenham.

Summer bids are expected, and Ipswich are bracing themselves for big-money approaches.
Jewell insists they are under no pressure to sell, with it important that the best decision is made for the club and Wickham.
He is, however, aware that offloading his prize asset would help to bolster his own transfer kitty.
"I'm hopeful he will stay but, let's be honest, we are all at the mercy of the big clubs," said Jewell.
"If Liverpool or Spurs come in with money that is going to help us plough back into the team - silly money if you like - we have to listen to it.
"But if he does go he will not be going on the cheap and we are certainly not actively looking to sell him."
Wickham, Ipswich's youngest-ever debutant, has broken into the England Under-21 set-up this season and Jewell believes his development may be better served with another 12 months in the Championship.
He added: "Personally, I think it would be best for him to stay here for another year, hopefully get us some goals and into the Premier League.
"But it is going to be difficult for any club at this level to turn down a big offer from one of the top teams.
"If it is one of the smaller Premier League clubs I don't think Connor would want to go."

United are five points clear of Arsenal, who have a game in hand, while reigning champions Chelsea and Manchester City complete the top four.
England striker Rooney said: "I grew up an Everton fan so to be part of the team to overtake Liverpool's record would be brilliant. It would mean so much to us players as well as the fans.
"It is something I have been thinking about a lot. I know all the Everton fans want us to do it and hopefully we can.
"You look forward to every game at this stage and you've got to enjoy it, especially when you are in the running for a few trophies.
"It is exciting for the fans and it's exciting for the players knowing that you are just a few weeks away from possibly winning a major trophy or two."
United face Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final first leg next week and City in the FA Cup semi-final next month.
Rooney is convinced they will banish their local rivals and told Inside United: "I am confident we can beat them.
"I am desperate to win the competition, having lost two finals. We have a great chance of going all the way this year.
"It is a massive competition with a lot of history. I watched it religiously growing up and going so close twice has been hard to take."
Rooney believes it is a massive bonus to have Antonio Valencia fit for the run-in and said: "I am probably the happiest person in the team to see him back.
"Having Nani on one wing and Antonio on the other is fantastic because they each bring something different."

Arsène Wenger says it is up to England not to burn out Jack Wilshere

• Arsenal's manager fears youngster could be overloaded
• Concern at repeat of Theo Walcott's Under-21 experience

  • David Hytner
  • The Guardian, Saturday 2 April 2011 <li class="history">Article history
    Jack-Wilshere-007.jpg
Jack Wilshere wants to play in the Under-21 European Championship but Arsène Wenger is against it. Photograph: Michael Regan/FA via Getty Images Arsène Wenger has warned Fabio Capello that he would harm England's chances of Euro 2012 success if he sanctioned Jack Wilshere's release to Under-21 duty at the end of the season.
Wilshere has emerged as a key player for Arsenal and England yet he remains eligible for Stuart Pearce's Under-21 squad, which will compete in the European Championship in Denmark in June. Pearce wants to select Wilshere as part of his plan to win the tournament and the midfielder has expressed his desire to play, which Wenger accepts as "normal". Capello will support Pearce's decision.
Wenger, though, worries about "overloading" young players &#8211; Wilshere stands to feature in 61 matches at all levels this season &#8211; and his club manager likened fears over his burn-out to watching a car crash.
Wenger was also clearly unhappy that Wilshere was one of only three outfield players to start for Capello's England in the qualifying tie against Wales last Saturday and then the friendly against Ghana on Tuesday. "A lot happened last week that defied common sense but I do not want to talk about that," Wenger said.
To Wenger the issue over Wilshere echoes that of Theo Walcott, when the Arsenal winger played for both Capello's and Pearce's England teams at the end of a busy 2008-09 season. Walcott even suffered the indignity of being dropped by Pearce during the Under-21 finals in Sweden. Walcott would be dogged by injuries in 2009-10 and Capello overlooked him for the World Cup finals in South Africa.
Wenger sounded a little weary with the talking point and he said that he did not "want to go into these battles any more." His priority was for Wilshere to help Arsenal win the Premier League title and he said that the international issue would be resolved "at the end of the season with the FA". Wenger would "adapt to what they [the FA] do," yet he was determined to protect Wilshere.
"Experience helps you only to anticipate problems," Wenger said. "It doesn't make you more intelligent. You know this car will hit the wall at some stage and you see it a little bit earlier than somebody who has less experience. I think, in the world, nobody has brought more young players out than I have and I have a good experience of what kind of stages they go through.
"I've met players at World Cups who have played more than 60 games in a season and before the World Cup started, they said to me: 'Boss, I am dead.' You prepare for a European Championship a year before. You do not prepare in May or in June before the competition.
"England have to decide what to do &#8230; and they have the final word because they have the rules for them. What is important is that England has a good player, Arsenal has a good player and the player has the needed rest to produce good performances."
Wenger is worried that the FA is basing its Under-21 selection on the wrong criteria. "If England want to do well in the Under-21 tournament, they can say, 'We take our best players and we do not consider what happened before,'" Wenger said. "But logically, why do you produce a youth system? It is to get them ready to play in the first team.
"Once they play in the first team, your job has been done and you can promote other players. Unless you say, 'We want to go for national pride and ego, so we just play our best players in the tournament.' Then it is defendable. If I asked you to give me the winners of the World Cup, I am sure you will give me them all. If I asked you to give me the winners of the Under-21 tournaments, you will struggle.
"It is in the interests of the FA as well that Wilshere is protected. It is normal that you play many games but there is a number you have to respect and make sure you do not make a mistake with a promising player."
Arsenal resume their quest for the title at home to Blackburn Rovers, with Wenger able to welcome back Cesc Fábregas, Alex Song, Walcott and Abou Diaby from injuries. Robin van Persie is also fit after suffering a knock with Holland during the international break. The goalkeeper Manuel Almunia keeps his place. "We had a difficult March on all fronts," Wenger said, "so now it's a new start for us."
He revealed that the central defender Johan Djourou was in line to return sooner than expected from his shoulder injury. "On Monday he should go out [to train] and two weeks later he should play," Wenger said.

Premier League leader Manchester United resumes its bid for a record 19th English title by returning to the scene of its heaviest defeat this season.

Alex Ferguson's side returns to Upton Park on Saturday having arrested its recent slide and with captain and defensive rock Nemanja Vidic available again after a calf problem.
United still has injury problems to contend with at the back as it looks to consolidate a five-point lead over second-place Arsenal, which has a game in hand and hosts struggling Blackburn on Saturday.
Defenders Rio Ferdinand, Rafael da Silva, Jonny Evans and John O'Shea are all out, making United's bid to emulate its treble-winning exploits of 1999 all the more harder.
"It is going to be more difficult than it was in 1999," Ferguson said. "We didn't have the injuries we do now.
"There is a great desire to do it but we have so many injuries to defenders at present. We will never give in, though. No matter what happens, you always feel Manchester United will score in the last minute. We must have a chance (of winning the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup) but it is more difficult than it has ever been."
Three defeats - to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea and Liverpool - in a five-game span in the league for United has brought Arsenal back in the title race.
Even reigning champion Chelsea, which is over its midseason slump and hasn't been defeated since Feb. 6, could yet catch the top two. The London team is four points behind Arsenal in third.
Chelsea visits midtable Stoke on Saturday, with Spain striker Fernando Torres still searching for his first goal for the club since his move from Liverpool on Jan. 31 for 50 million pounds ($81 million).
Arsenal, which has let United off the hook by drawing its last two league matches, could give a second debut to 41-year-old goalkeeper Jens Lehmann at Emirates Stadium this weekend.
The former Germany international came out of retirement to rejoin the Gunners this month and played 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday. With current No. 1 Manuel Almunia under the microscope after making a mistake that led to one of West Bromwich Albion's goals in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out, Lehmann could be handed the goalkeeper jersey.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also awaiting a fitness bulletin on star striker Robin van Persie, who returned injured from international duty with the Netherlands.
Fourth-place Manchester City is at home to Sunderland and Tottenham, which is fifth and four points behind City with a game in hand, visits bottom side Wigan.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish could welcome back captain Steven Gerrard after almost a month out with a groin injury when his sixth-place team plays West Brom away.
"I'm hoping to be in full training on Thursday and available for selection for the weekend," Gerrard said. "It's up to Kenny whether he thinks I'm ready or not."
Liverpool is four points behind Tottenham and five points further back is Bolton, which is away to second-bottom Birmingham on Saturday. Other games that day see Everton host Aston Villa and Wolves go to Newcastle.
Fulham is at home to Blackpool in Sunday's other match.
There are only six points separating 11th-place Newcastle with Wigan in a congested lower half of the table.

Roy Hodgson felt overshadowed at Liverpool by Kenny Dalglish

The West Bromwich Albion manager says he never felt comfortable with the Anfield legend looming in the background

  • Roy-Hodgson-007.jpg
Roy Hodgson, now the West Bromwich Albion manager, faces his former club Liverpool on Saturday and insists he has no regrets about taking the job at Anfield. Photograph: Shaun Botterill/Getty Images Roy Hodgson has admitted that his chances of succeeding as the Liverpool manager were hindered by the presence of Kenny Dalglish "waiting in the wings" to take over. The West Bromwich Albion manager, who comes up against his former club at The Hawthorns, alluded to the problems he faced at Anfield with Dalglish's shadow hanging over him when he said it is "difficult to compete with icons".
Hodgson was sacked in January, after little more than six months at Liverpool, and replaced by Dalglish, who was given the job until the end of the season. The 63-year-old insisted he had no regrets about taking the position, but also made it clear that he never felt comfortable with Dalglish in the background. Dalglish applied for the managerial vacancy at the same time as Hodgson but was overlooked by the club's former owners, George Gillett and Tom Hicks. He did, however, continue to work for Liverpool in an ambassadorial role that included some academy duties.
When Liverpool struggled under Hodgson &#8211; the club made their worst start to a season since the 1953/54 season &#8211; the supporters turned on him and chanted Dalglish's name. His position became untenable when unrest escalated after defeats to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers, prompting John W Henry, whose Fenway Sports Group took control at Liverpool in October, to relieve Hodgson of his duties on 8 January.
Asked whether he would have spent longer at the club had Dalglish not been in the background, Hodgson replied: "That may be, who knows? It's difficult to compete with icons. I came to the right club; perhaps I didn't come at the right time because Kenny did make it clear at that time that he wanted the job. But the people who were making the decision at that time decided to go for me. And, of course, as a result, that left Kenny in a difficult position because he was the one that wanted the job, so when things didn't go well having him in the background wasn't easy and wouldn't have been easy for any coach."
He added: "I took the job in good faith. I knew I was taking a risk because there was a change of ownership in the offing and I knew that in order to win the fans over we would have to have a flying start. When you don't get that flying start and there is a change of ownership, I'm afraid you are at risk as a manager, especially when there is a man of Kenny Dalglish's iconic stature waiting in the wings and prepared to take over."
Hodgson did not hesitate when asked whether he thought Dalglish should get the manager's job on a permanent basis, citing the Liverpool supporters' influence as so significant that it would be almost impossible for anyone else to succeed at the club.
"Yes I do [think he should get it] because the fans want him to have the job," he said. "He's got the backing of the fans and the fans are very important at Liverpool. If they don't give him the job now, then it's going to be a very difficult job for the next man who gets it because the fans want [Dalglish]."
Hodgson, who is unbeaten in four matches since supplanting Roberto Di Matteo as Albion manager in February, claimed that revenge will not be on his mind this afternoon. "There's no vindication factor at all," he said. "I have no regrets about going to the club. I would have liked to work longer; I make no secret about that. But, on the other hand, with it having not worked out, I am very happy to be back at a club that obviously wants me and is going to back me to do the job. As a result, I can look back on the time and just chalk it off as an experience and a not altogether unpleasant experience because I got the chance to work with some top-class players and possibly even to win the respect of those players."
Hodgson admitted he is unsure what sort of reception to expect from the Liverpool fans whose support he had questioned during his time at Anfield. "The reaction to my appointment was not well received from the bigger section of fans so I don't know if that has changed since I left. It would be nice if their reaction is a good one, but if it isn't, I will have to live with it. I'm sure the West Brom fans will buoy me up in the opposite direction."

Kenny Dalglish not concerned about Liverpool's Andy Carroll and drink

&#8226; Liverpool manager brushes off Fabio Capello remark
&#8226; Says striker 'knows what is required' at Anfield

Liverpool's Andy Carroll scored his first England goal in the friendly against Ghana. Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Guardian Kenny Dalglish has said that he is not concerned about Andy Carroll's drinking habits. The Liverpool manager also said that he believes his £35m striker is conscious of the sacrifices required if he is to fulfil his potential for club and country.
The England manager, Fabio Capello, advised Carroll "to drink less", before the 22-year-old scored against Ghana on Tuesday. The striker was involved in several alcohol-related incidents during his time at Newcastle United but Dalglish has not had to contend with such problems since the player's arrival at Liverpool in January. The Scot cited Carroll's work to recover from a thigh injury as evidence of his professionalism.
Dalglish refused to enter any controversy over Capello's decision to go public with details of a private conversation, having earlier praised England's "fantastic handling" of Carroll and Glen Johnson, who were taken off after 59 and 45 minutes respectively against Ghana. His only complaint was with Carroll's alleged reluctance to stand a round.
"He's never bought me a drink," said Dalglish. "I've been with him at Boyzone concerts and he's still never bought me a drink.
"Andy Carroll knows what is required of Andy Carroll. He is the most important part of all this. Andy has done fantastically well getting back to where he has, with his application and dedication and also the help he has had from the medical staff. Whatever Andy has done, he has done it very well. Whatever is somebody else's opinion is up to them, but Andy Carroll cannot be criticised in any way, shape or form for what he has done since he has been here."
Carroll's international commitments could extend to June's European Under-21 Championship after Stuart Pearce, the England coach, declared his intention to take the strongest possible squad &#8211; with the exception of Arsenal's Theo Walcott &#8211; to Denmark. Dalglish avoided what he saw as a hypothetical debate.
"We will wait and see if he gets picked first," he said. "We would rather wait and see what we have to put up with or look forward to before we make any comment. There is no point talking about something that might never happen.
"I'm not bothered about England, so there is no point harping on about it. I'm not bothered about international football. What is going to happen won't happen until the end of the season. There is no way I'm going to spend any time worrying about what is going to happen at the end of the season. We have got football matches here that are more important than what is going to happen at an Under&#8209;21 tournament."
Liverpool face a reunion with their former manager Roy Hodgson at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, and Steven Gerrard could play only three weeks after having surgery on a persistent groin problem. Dalglish said: "He has recovered really well from surgery so we will have a look. He's done a lot of training this week, not all the training that the other lads have done, but most of it. We've also got to remember that Jay Spearing played really well at Sunderland so there is no rush to bring Stevie back."
Fábio Aurélio and Jonjo Shelvey are close to recalls following long absences but Martin Kelly has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury. The emerging right-back has been out since February and while the extent of his latest problem has not been ascertained, it is to the same hamstring and could lead to another extended spell on the sidelines.
