Carlo Ancelotti has told David Luiz he must be "more calm" after narrowly escaping a red card in Chelsea's win against Manchester United.
The new £25million signing was lucky to avoid a second yellow card for a cynical foul on Wayne Rooney during Tuesday night's controversial game at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old's aggressive approach marred what was otherwise another virtuoso display from the Brazil defender, who had scored a stunning equaliser minutes earlier.
Ancelotti acknowledges Luiz needs to improve his discipline if he is not to become more of a liability than an asset.
"He has to know English football," he said.
"He has to be more calm on the pitch.
"Obviously, he's showed fantastic ability and quality.
"He has to improve, but he will because he'll have more experience and knowledge about English football. He can change his behaviour on the pitch."
Luiz's all-action performances have made him an instant hit with the Chelsea fans and Ancelotti believes there is even more to come from the gifted centre-back.
"He's showing fantastic ability offensively, obviously," said the Italian, who has worked with some of the great defenders of the modern age, including the legendary Paolo Maldini.
"He's able to pass the ball and move in front without problems. He's able to shoot at goal.
"Defensively, he can improve."
Martin Atkinson's failure to punish Luiz for his foul on Rooney sparked a furious response from Sir Alex Ferguson.
The United boss had not calmed down by the time he conducted a post-match interview, in which he appeared to question Atkinson's integrity.
Ferguson's outburst saw him charged with improper conduct by the Football Association on Thursday, a charge he has denied.
Ancelotti refused to condemn the Scot's reaction, saying: "After the game, you have emotion about the game so, sometimes, you speak about decisions. This is normal, I think."
He added: "We spoke after the game and he was disappointed at the referee's decision, but this is football.
"Sometimes one coach is happy and the other is unhappy after a match with a referee's decision."
Chelsea's victory dented United's title push, denying them the chance to extend their four-point lead over second-placed Arsenal.
It also saw their opponents move to within 12 points of Ferguson's men with a game in hand, keeping alive the Blues' paper-thin hopes of retaining the championship.
Asked if Ferguson's outburst showed he was feeling the pressure, Ancelotti joked: "If Ferguson is under pressure in the title race, what kind of pressure must I be under?"

Arsenal were frustrated in their quest to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester United as Sunderland drew 0-0 at The Emirates.
After Sunderland started brightly, the Gunners, who head to Barcelona on Tuesday for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash, gained the upper hand, as Nicklas Bendtner's angled shot was tipped over by man of the match Simon Mignolet.

Arsenal were looking to close the gap on United, who play at Liverpool tomorrow, down to just one point following an unbeaten league run of 10 games.
Sunderland, meanwhile, were out to avoid a fifth successive defeat after showing such promise earlier in the campaign and a first win at Arsenal since 1983.
There was an early chance for Steve Bruce's men when Jordan Henderson got into the right side of the Arsenal penalty area and his cross was cut out by Gael Clichy.
Arsenal could have been forgiven if they had other things on their minds, with the trip to Barcelona on the horizon.
It took a while for the beaten Carling Cup finalists to settle as Sunderland continued to enjoy the better of the early possession.
Arsenal suddenly burst to life on 10 minutes as Bendtner was inches away from connecting with Clichy's low centre across the six-yard box, before Samir Nasri's curling effort was well held by Sunderland keeper Mignolet.
However, it needed a good save from Wojciech Szczesny - whose last-minute blunder cost Arsenal so dear at Wembley - to deny Stephane Sessegnon the opener on 17 minutes after the Benin midfielder was left too much space on the right of the Arsenal penalty box.
The atmosphere inside Emirates Stadium was somewhat muted, as the home crowd grew increasingly frustrated at Arsenal's lack of usual fluid passing game.
Arshavin got ahead of Titus Bramble at the edge of the Sunderland area, only for the ball to run through to the keeper.
Nasri showed great close control to weave into the penalty box, but his near post shot was deflected behind.
From the resulting corner, Bendtner's acrobatic overhead kick went straight at the keeper.
As half-time approached, Jack Wilshere chipped the ball through to Bendtner down the right side of the box, and his half volley was dipping into the far corner - but Mignolet tipped it over.
Arsenal were in need of some inspiration if they were to capitalise on United's midweek defeat at Chelsea.
Sunderland, though, continued to hassle the Gunners at the start of the second half.

Arshavin looked to have beaten the offside trap as he rounded the keeper, but the assistant on the far side flagged - even though replays showed the Russian level with the Sunderland right-back.

Arsenal played with some intent for 15mins out of 90.that's about it>If you are satisfied with the result then that's on you but you won't win squat with performances like that.
Spudkilla....thank you at least some1 on here knows a thing or two about footy....How many gifts do they want....first half was complete snooze fest....theres no sense of urgency until Cham was introduce.....AW really needs to start sending a statement to the dead weight and sit their azz out....cant wait for ramsey to start playing
