AC Milan are interested in signing Roma defender Philippe Mexes this summer.
Mexes could join the Rossoneri at the end of the season on a free transfer if he fails to agree a contract extension with Roma.

A new deal is on the table for the French centre-back, but contract talks appear to have stalled.
"If Mexes does not renew his contract with Roma, we are interested in the player," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 28-year-old joined Roma from Auxerre in 2004 and has been identified as a possible replacement for Milan defender Alessandro Nesta, whose contract also ends in the summer.

i think galliani should be fined by the italian federation but being that berlusconi with all his conflict of interestes is still boss of italy it will never happen. galliani is meddling in roma's business, they are still in contract talks with the player and here comes galliani breaking eggs.sorry, he's grossly out of step.sure mexes would be a good deal for milan especially for free but lets give the other teams the respect they deserve.milan and inter can't control exclusively the world of italian soccer , would it be such a crime if the beggars get the crumbs once in a while?

I really, really want to keep Silva, but if Real come calling I do think he may go, unfortunately. I do consider Silva to be one of the best defenders in the world.

Sounds like someone with deep pockets will be coming after Thiago Silva this summer.

No, No, No...Please keep Nesta. He's proven that he can still play at a very high level. Yes, I know he's a step slower these days and prone to injuries but when he is on the pitch, he is a master out there!
