6. Fellaini's niggly game and untidy play makes for cringeworthy moments - and don't tell me he pulled defenders there for Rooney to score - that's the minimum we expect from someone his height but his game in midfield is an embarrassment to Man United.
7. Ander Herrera adds a real creative streak to United's attack - he was a bright figure up top.
8. Man United's game lacked any game plan and for the first half, there was nothing to write about. #dismall
9. There is something missing between United's midfield and attack - the connection was totally missing and it's something that's worrying even after that victory.
10. Van Gaal needs to find a solution between Mata and Lingard - and even Memphis - Lingard, given a starting spot after Tuesday's goal is not the creative player to support for that role- he missed a lot of possession and opportunities. At the same time, Mata's wing-play is not much to write about - while Memphis has demonstrated of late, that he can impact the game from the wing - whatever LVG's issues are, he needs to sort them out or we're loosing on creative players (see issue #9) or he's wasting players - something he'd done since he came at United.
10.1 It was great to see Darmian apply some speed there - so he can run, huh! He needs to do more of that.
