: MPs settle disputes with their hands 14 Dec 14, 2011 MOGADISHU, Somalia - A fight broke out in Parliament today when a group Members of the Transitional Federal Parliament (TFP) who oppose Speaker of Parliament Sharif Hassan Sheik Adan and his supporters clashed, Radio Garowe reports. when Abdiweli Ibrahim Muudey the Deputy Speaker of Parliament was denied to take his seat in Parliamentary meetings that were being held in Mogadishu. "The Deputy Speaker of Parliament came into the hall and tried to take his seat forcefully the other MPs who voted to oust Sharif Hassan denied Mr. Muudey his seat and the fight broke out," said MP Saleban Ibrahim who also took part in Tuesdays vote to oust Sharif Hassan as Speaker of Parliament. Tuesdays vote was a motion to remove Speaker Sharif Hassan from his role due to allegations from MPs stating that Speaker of parliament overstepped his authority. The brawl left no one seriously injured. The Transitional Federal Government TFG of Somalia has been ridden with political infighting that has hindered their role as a stable government.
