Museveni Sendugu, the M23 head of political affairs has been suspended for alleged indiscipline. Sendugu was suspended on Sunday evening by Bertrand Bisimwa, the chairperson of the M23 rebel movement.

In his 17th November letter, Bisimwa explains that Sendugu has been suspended for indiscipline and placed under the movements disciplinary board.
The letter also indicates that Sendugu who has been a member of the M23 delegation in the Kampala peace talks loses mandate to represent the movement or execute any responsibilities on its behalf during the suspension.
The suspension letter is copied to the president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni and Representatives of the Congolese government delegation among others.
It is not clear whether the suspension of Sendugu will further strain the peace negotiations between the DRC government and the rebels.
The peace negotiations stalled last week after government failed to yield to some of the demands by the rebels. It came after the DRC government forces backed by the UN brigade expelled the rebels from Eastern DRC forcing them to flee into Uganda.
The United Nations intervention brigade is comprised of troops from Tanzania, Malawi and South Africa.
