Kenya Power has explained why some customers are now getting fewer electricity units for the same token amount.

If you buy tokens worth Ksh 3,000, up to 20% (about Ksh 600) may be automatically deducted to clear arrears, leaving less money to buy units.

Also, tariffs depend on your average monthly usage:
Below 100 units → Domestic Lifeline Tariff (cheaper, subsidised)
Above 100 units → Domestic Ordinary Tariff (more expensive per unit)

Meaning: Ukivuka 100 units bila kujua, units zinapungua haraka.
KPLC advises customers to monitor consumption regularly to avoid surprise drops in units.

Je tunakubaliana ama tuwe tunapata the same token units as same price?
