The Tanzanian official made this statement to MAP at the end of talks held with Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Khalihenna Ould Rachid.


Membe said he was informed by Ould Rachid of the situation on the ground and the evolution of the Sahara issue.


He met also with Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mustapha Mansouri, on the means to further reinforce cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies through setting up a parliamentary friendship group and exchanging expertise.


The Tanzanian official held talks on Sunday with his Moroccan counterpart, Taib Fassi Fihri, to whom he handed a message from Tanzanian President, Jakaya Kikwete, addressed to HM King Mohammed VI.AaAa


He also voiced hope that bilateral relations will be further strengthened, especially through the opening of a Moroccan diplomatic representation in Tanzania.
