Kenya Rugby Union appoints new marketing agency

[FONT=open_sansregular]The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has appointed TransAfrica Media East Africa (TAM-EA), via its subsidiary Frontiers Sport and Entertainment, as its new sports marketing agency.[/FONT]
[FONT=open_sansregular]TransAfrica Media East Africa's (TAM-EA) role will be to provide end-to-end commercial strategy, sales and service solutions to KRU across sponsorship, broadcasting, marketing, public relation and research.

TransAfrica Media East Africa (TAM-EA) is currently playing a growing role in the Kenyan sports industry, on the back of some recent notable successes including assisting Athletics Kenya in its bid for the 2017 IAAF World Youth Championships as well as securing a major new title sponsor for the Kenyan Premier League, in the form of East Africa sports betting brand, Sportspesa.

[FONT=open_sansregular]Ronald Bukusi, the KRU Chief Executive Officer said: "Some very positive progress has been made within Kenyan rugby circles over the past few months and this appointment signals our intention to further grow the sport."

"We appointed TAM and Frontiers because of their data driven and analytical approach to sports marketing and we are confident they will play a major role in developing our commercial plan over the next few years."

[FONT=open_sansregular]The Managing Director of TAM-EA Maggie Ireri added: "We are delighted to have secured the KRU as a major new client. Our strategy is to work with the best sports entities in East Africa and the KRU definitely falls into that category."[/FONT]

[FONT=open_sansregular]KRU is the governing body of the Rugby Union in Kenya and it organizes the Kenyan national teams and various competition.
