Kenya Rugby Union has revoked Andrew Amonde’s role as Shujaa’s strength and conditioning coach.
In a letter dated 9 August 2026, KRU cited a contract clause that bars national coaches from holding similar club roles. Amonde was recently appointed head coach of KCB RFC.
The decision has raised questions over consistency, as other coaches like Carlos Katywa currently double up with both club and national teams.
Amonde joined Shujaa to add experience alongside head coach Kevin Wambua and assistant Louis Kisia.
