I honestly don't see how Caesar being black or white helps us today to the point that we are arguing with each other over it.
Unless you look at it from the perspective of a severely insecure black person who wants to validate his blackness through Caesar being black.

True that mkuu. I just don't believe how it would help our current situation even if we were told every important historical figure was black. Napoleon Bonaparte once said, "History is written by the winners." We want to write history let's work on our present instead of concentrating on who was what in the past. Seriously it wouldn't change my life even if I heard Jesus was black. Black, white, yellow....they are all just colors.
So what if he was white or black? What's the big deal? And what black African has a name like Julius Caesar anyway? SMH

I disagree with you there, the past is still relevant today.We need to know our past which was distorted through European colonialism and imperialism. The past still haunts us today.Knowing our glorious past will give us the confidence to deal with the present and the future.Colonialism distorted our past this is why we have leaders who will rather go shopping for tomatoes in Europe, while there are plenty at home.
If these leaders knew that Africans were the first architects who built the pyramids and other glories(offcourse they dont know this with their colonial education), perhaps they will trust in their fellow countrymen instead of spending more of their time with a begging bowl.
So knowing the past is relevant for today and the future especially in instilling self confidence in people to carve their own destiny. Off-course kaisari example is not so relevant because Rome was an European civilization but for the sake of truth, I dont see any problem in discussing.

Nobody thinks that arguing about ceaser will help anyone, kaisari is not even part of african history, but I think the truth can be desired for itself.
