Japanese company Science Inc. has officially released the “Mirai Human Washing Machine,” a high-tech spa pod first shown at the Osaka World Expo earlier this year.
The pod works like a fully automatic spa. A person lies back in a comfortable seat while the machine washes the entire body, rinses, and even dries them in just 15 minutes. It also plays relaxing music and tracks vital signs to keep the user safe and comfortable.
The pod is 2.5 meters long, 1 meter wide, and 2.6 meters tall, making it large enough for most adults to lie inside. It uses microbubbles that clean deep into the pores, removing dirt, oil, and dead skin. This technology is already popular in luxury Japanese spas and salons.
The price is about 60 million yen (around $385,000), so it is aimed at high-end spas, hotels, and other premium facilities. A demo unit will be open to the public in Tokyo from December 2025, but the general sale date has not been announced yet
