A video Circulating on X claims to show armed bodyguards of NRM boss Eric Mugabi beating and shooting businessman Hussein Tenywa at Muzuri Guest House in Kamuli, Uganda.

What we found
JamiiCheck traced the video through Google reverse image search and cross-checking with multiple sources and found that;
•The video was recorded in Xinavane, Manhiça District, Maputo Province, Mozambique, not Kamuli, Uganda.
•The incident occurred on 18 July 2026 during a police operation involving Narciso Castigo Sambo, also known as “Macovo.”
•Amnesty International confirmed that the video shows a plain-clothed police officer shooting Sambo after he had been subdued by other officers.
•Visual clues in the video, including “Polícia” on an officer's protective vest, also point to Mozambique.
•Whereas it is true that Tenywa Hussain was shot dead at Muzuri Guest House and Bar in Kamuli on September 6, 2026, the circulating video does not show that incident. Read more on Jamiiforums - Uganda
Verdict: FALSE - Misleading
•The video is not from Kamuli or Uganda. It shows a July 2026 police operation in Xinavane, Mozambique, and has been falsely presented as a recent incident involving Hussein Tenywa.
