Claim
A post circulating on Tiktok by account- @freedomfighter uses an authentic video of Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Kahinda Otafiire and claims that he said, "Muhoozi can never be president of Uganda when I’m still alive."
What we found
•The video is authentic and shows Otafiire speaking in Parliament on 1 October 2026.

However, Otafiire did not make the statement attributed to him in the caption.
•In the video, and on record Otafiire was speaking about how disagreements should be resolved without violence.
•He said, “When you see a general who prefers violence as the best means of solving problems, then there is a problem.”
He further said that the greatest generals are those who resolve problems “without shooting a bullet.”
There is therefore no match between the statement in the viral caption and the remarks made in the video.
Verdict: MISLEADING
The video itself is authentic, but the caption is false/misattributed. It attaches a statement about Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba's presidency to Otafiire, even though that statement does not appear in his remarks in the video.
