The incidence was overrated if you define your development in terms of what other nations have done. Well to Ethiopia with 100 flight fleet it would be weird to celebrate reception of a single plane.
But if you define your development in your terms, what was done was correct, it was a commercial advert with wide coverage alarting the world that ATC is back in business. It wasn't about a having a plane in place as a nation, but it was about business.

Thanks for underpinning the idea and fact of ATCL back to business commercial advert out of the yesterday's event.

There's no day like today that I ever felt shy like.
When I saw my president being in a motorcade and hustling to the Airport so as to launch a plane that has arrived today from the US.
Was there any necessity to have our president in the scene?
Is a plane so strange and austere to us in such a way that it was very much obligatory to have a head of state in place?
In this world of high class science and technology particularly in this 21st century, is a plane still a new thing to us?
The president's slogan lives by "Tanzania ya Viwanda " and not by 'Tanzania ya ndege ",so he should have just walked by his slogan in order to build more factories which would possibly have hired a big number of people, unlike planes.
I have seen the ccm fans clapping their hands on the arrival of the plane.
To them, their chairman does not go wrong, he is their godfather.
A plane is just a sky bus,so having the government entourage in the Airport has exposed us internationally as the primitive state.

Acha ujinga wewe..!! Kwanini wewe siku ya graduation na kupokea cheti chako ulifanya sherehe..whyyy...this is the biggest achievement ever happened in our shdevelopment..since independence..and this is happening because people have for the first time paid taxes required and thus reflected to this achievement..we cannot undermine our collectivelly big efforts made so far.we cannot, never..we need to recognize this today and whichever new scene..happening. we cannot STOP..

Guys give us a break. You are trying to think but you are not thinking critically.

With me, the participation of the president was very beneficial than his non participation. Just think how now it has been discussed by different people in different states . This is one of the advertisement strategy that our Dreamliner is now known to many because he was there. The other thing is to give a high obligation to those who are authorized to run the project - ATCL. The president has shown them that the while country expect high performance of the project.

It is also his way to clear one of his promise during 2015 presidential campaign.
Don't forget also that he has been doing the same to industrial slogan. He has been to Tanga, Mwanza, Singida, Morogoro and so on.

Guys it seems we are not all in Tanzania some are in other countries and they don't follow us daily.

Think about this, hiyo ndege haikuwepo kwenye budget yetu, na ni very expensive. Ili kununua hiyo ndege imebidi baadhi ya vipaumbele vyetu vya kwenye budget viondelewe au vipunguzwe ili tuweze kufanya jambo ambalo ni unbudgetted. Swali ni je, eneo hilo la kwenye budget ambalo limekuwa affected ni kwa namna gani litafidiwa na ujio wa hiyo ndege? Note that we are making loss in the aviation business as we speak.

Hivi jamani, maendeleo si yanakuja kwa one step at a time au kwa mkupuo? Nchi kubwa kama Tanzania bila kuwa na ndege yake yenyewe ni haibu kubwa sana. We are a rich country, why pay Ethiopia Airline kama unataka kwenda India when we have our own plane? Kama tuna routes za kwenda Mecca kuhiji ama Uingereza, why pay fees to other Airlines ili uende huko when you have Air Tanzania na isitoshe itakuwa rahisi kwa wahujaji wa Mecca kuzungumza lugha yao Mama na wahudumu wa kwao. Watanzania mnaboa sana, hamuoni mbali kazi kulalamika tu bila kufikiri. Watu wanawacheka.
