A consensus has been reached that life is what u make it, or how u make it. Do i make politics? Do i bring natural calamities? Am i the only one who shapes my destiny? How? Do i decide what to do and how and it happens exactly? What disposes what i propose? If by chance life was under my/your control, there would have been no laments. So long as life is grace and beyond our control, tribulation, hardships, joy, happines, etc. are part and parcel of our existence. Life and me/you are two parties who enter into a contract to adhere to life's orders. If that comes into your understanding, then you should be supple enough to life's ups and downs

The thing is most of us Africans in this case we Tanzanians fall into this 'bandwagon' about God and Religion without having enough of its education. It is very important to know history of the faith we are believing.
Psychologically a man's brain creates god. The brain makes the man to feel that he is incomplete without the believe of the superbeing(god) who has got more power and can do a lot of things that are impossible to man. Take for example if Jesus Christ could come at this age and he talks about going heaven(up to the sky) beyond the clouds, that won't astonish us, as there are exploration probes which have gone beyond our solar system which were sent by NASA in the 1970's like the Pioneers series andthe Vikings series. But at the time of Jesus going beyond the clouds it was divine thing, since at the time of Adam they believed that the smoke from offerings made to worship God goes up to Him as it (smoke) goes up, but by today's knowledge we know that that smoke can't go beyond earth's atmospheresince its velocity doesn't reach the escape velocity required for an object to 'leave' the earth.
If you look at various traditional beliefs you won't find a tradition which doesn't believe into the existence of the superbeing. Here is where I come at the need to know history of our beliefs. The bible is equivalence of various traditional beliefs' stories which precolonial/pre-envaded societies kept generations to generations. But when people from other societies started to interact to each other, in case of Africa is business, exploration and colonialism: the invaders used religion for their gain to exploit Africans. But stupid we are even ready to have a conflict among ourselves because of these foreign religions.
Back to the topic, the quran and the bible are just another peoples' (middle east) beliefs stories which are very UNTRUE. If you have time ask some priests you know (for catholics) about what they are taught about the bible in the Seminaries. For example the Creation Story in the Genesis is completely UNTRUE. According to the bible the Creation of the World was around 4064 BC.

Nimeipenda sana quote yako ya hapo mwisho dadangu. Lakini hebu fikiria, mimi nimetamani sana kuwa na gari ila sina jinsi kupata hiyo gari kiurahisi. Ila kwa kuwa natamani kuwa na hiyo gari, nimefikia uamuzi wa kuiba na kwa bahati nzuri sijawahi kuiba katika maisha yangu.
