[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheetos"]Cheetos[/ame] are commonly considered a junk food partially because it is prepared in industrial kitchens and packaged.
The [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luther_Burger"]Luther Burger[/ame], a bacon cheeseburger which employs a glazed donut in place of each bun, is considered a junk food partially due to the high sugar and fat content.
Junk food is an informal term applied to some foods which are perceived to have little or no [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutrition"]nutritional[/ame] value, or to products with nutritional value but which also have ingredients considered unhealthy when regularly eaten, or to those considered unhealthy to consume at all. The term was coined by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jacobson"]Michael Jacobson[/ame], director of the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Science_in_the_Public_Interest"]Center for Science in the Public Interest[/ame], in 1972.

Foods more likely to be considered junk food generally are those that are more convenient and easy to obtain in a ready-to-eat form, though being such does not automatically define the food as "junk food."
