Kuna habari zimenifikia mida hii kutoka chuo kikuu cha Tumaini college ya iringa kwamba hari si shwari kuhusiana na utaratibu mzima wa uendeshaji wa kozi zake na hasa upande wa kozi mpya ya IT (Bsc-IT) kwani kuna tifu kubwa baina ya lecturers na baadhi yao wamegona kabisa kufundisha majina tunayo.

Waliogoma wnadai program nzima inaendeshwa ndivyo sivyo ( ki siasa na kibiahara zaidi) na wahadhiri wa kitengo hicho hawaelewani kabisa kwani kila mmoja anafanya kazi kivyake na kozi nzima kuendeshwa chini ya standard. hakuna faculty meeting kwa staff wa kitengo hicho, kila mwalimu anaomba kinga kutoka kwa wanafunzi kivyakevyake, curriculum inayotumika kutokidhi matakwa na imekuwa ikibadilishwa kila kukicha, walimu wanaofundisha wengi wao hawana sifa za kufundisha, na eti wanasema program inaendeshwa kwa majungu.

reporter wangu amesema kwamba wanafunzi ndio waamuaji wa kipi kifundishwe na kama kigumu wanashauri eti kiachwe, mwalimu afundishae akijifanya mjuaji kufundisha hayo magumu anagomewa na pia kutafsiriwa vibaya na uongozi wa chuo.


mtafaruki mkubwa upo kati ya lecturer mmoja mzawa (jina kapuni) na lecturer mwingine kutoka finland (jina kapuni) kutokana na uendeshwaji mzima wa hiyo program mpya.
Hawa jamaa hawaelewani kabisa kwani kila kikicha wanatofautiana na kupelekana kwa uongozi wa chuo hicho. Walio karibu tunaomba ukweri wa jambo hili na kwa nini hawa watu wanatofautiana?

wanafunzi wa hiyo program mara nyingi Hufundishwa courses ambazo ni irrevant eti tu kwa sababu kuna mzungu anafanya either master research kwenye hiyo course au anataka kubaki akitalii kwa muda huo ili aonekane akifanya kazi muhimu ya ufundishaji, hakuna ufuatiliaji wa kina kuhusu qualification ya hao visiting students wanaofundisha wanafunzi wenzao na pia experience zao kwenye ualimu na ni kitu gani wanajua. kuna roumours kwamba sasa kuna wageni wa kuzungu kutoka finland ambo ni visiting lecturers wanaotaka kufundisha practical za some ongoing courses na inasemekana walipoulizwa nini wanajua kutoka existing course outlines inaonekana hawajui hivyo vitu. inzi wangu amasema sijui kwa nini hao watu wamekuwa wakipewa madarasa na kukuza CV zao kwamba wamefundisha african universities ili khari hawajui kitu au ndio kutafuta misaada kutoka huko?.

Inasemekana chanzo cha matatizo yote ni head wa hiyo program anayesema eti yeye ni professor na university inamtambua hivyo ( shhhh born in 1977). pamoja na wanafunzi wa mwaka wa pili ambao wengi wao walipatikana kwa njia ya mkato ili kufanya kozi hiyo ianzishwe pale ilipotaka kuanzishwa mwaka jana. Inzi wangu anariport kwamba wanafunzi hao wa mwaka wa pili wa hiyo program ni kituko na hawafundishiki kabisa hivyo wamekuwa mara kwa mara wakitafuta ushindi nje ya meza .... PLEASE FATILIENI HILI.

Inzi anomba wadau waliopo Iringa University College watupe ukweri kuhusu hili.

Mambi haya yanabidi yaangaliwe kwa kina kwani hapo ndipo tunapoaandaa wataalamu wa kesho, kufundihwa chini ya kiwango na kutopewa matrial sahihi sijui kunafanya tutegemee wataalamu gani. Nimeamini tutaendelea kuwa watumwa mpaka YESU ARUDI.

mmmh....nadhani hupatani na huyo mwalimu.. Je akiondolewa walimu wanaogombana watapatana? Na wanafunzi wasiopenda kufundishwa masomo magumu watakubali kufundishwa?

Kwa uelewa wangu tatizo la ufundishaji haliko Iringa tu. Liko katika vyuo vyote. Kwa hiyo kama ni kujadili tunaweza kutumia hili la Iringa kama mfano tu. Kuna chuo kimoja hapa Dar, mwalimu alinyaka wanafunzi kwenye mtihani wa majaribio. Wakati anajadili nao jinsi ya kuwapa mtihani mwingine au nini kifanyike ili wapate alama zinazotakiwa kwa ajili ya mtihani wa mwisho, akawambia kwamba ana matatizo kwa sababu gari yake imegongwa na iko gereji. Kwa hiyo baada ya hapo ikabidi wanafunzi wachange pesa kwenda kukomboa gari ya mwalimu. Na yeye akaomba majina ya wanafunzi wote waliochanga. Kati ya hao, mmoja wao hakuchangia. Alikamatwa hata mtihani wa mwisho ikabidi afanye supplementary. Kwa hiyo hili la Iringa ni moja tu kati ya matatizo kibao kwenye vyuo vyetu.

Alikamatwa hata mtihani wa mwisho ikabidi afanye supplementary. Kwa hiyo hili la Iringa ni moja tu kati ya matatizo kibao kwenye vyuo vyetu.

Tujaribu Kujadili haya yafuatayo:

i. Je Tatizo ni waalimu au wanafunzi ? hii mada haihusiani na mambo ya mwalimu kutaka hela (rushwa), naona kama ni kutokuelewana kati ya walimu na sio wanafunzi.

ii. Nani anatakiwa kujua kipi cha kufundishwa ? walimu au wanafunzi ? na katika ufundishaji kipi kifuatwe? curricullum au muono wa wanafunzi? na je kuna haja ya kubadili mtaala kila wakati ?

iii. kipi kizuri ? lecturer kuwa na urafiki na wanafunzi ( ukaribu zaidi?) au kuwa na urafiki wa darasani ? nini matokeo ya kuwa karibu sana na wanafunzi? je waweza kusaisha kwa usahihi? tafadhari jadili kama binadamu.

iv. Je elimu ni biashara au sio ? is it burgainable out of the class ?

Tumaini university ndio ilivyo, wao wanakurupukaga na kuanzisha courses Bila maandalizi, nionavyo mimi iki chuo kinaendeshwa zaidi kibiashara na hamna anaye take trouble kuhakiki quality of Education inayotolewa hapo.

Courses kama engineering na IT zinaitaji maandalizi makubwa and involves a lot of money. Lakini hapo Tumaini utashangaa inaandaliwa within 1 year.

Nafikiri serikali iviangalie vizuri ivi vyuo vya Private, otherwise tutabaki kulekule....
 
Inaonyesha watu waliilewa ile sera ya Mungai kubadili mitaala ya kufundishia kila kukicha. Kinachotakiwa hapa ni uongozi wa chuo kufuatilia hilo na kulipatia jibu. Isije ikawa aliyelata mada hii kichwani au somo hilo halieleweki kwake.
 
Nasema hivi, waacheni vijana wapate helimu bwana kwani hamjui hii nchi sasa kila mtu anajifanyia mambo yake....wenye magezti wanafanya mambo yao, Mawaziri nao wanafanya mambo yao, wanasiasa na hivyo tia maji tia maji..Mjomba nae haeleweki kazi kutalii bassi ilimradi tu wananchi wanajifanyia yao.

Jamani nimeacha masihara, hicho chuo cha tumaini kinafanya mchezo gani huo mmh??? Mbona nimehemwa!! Nimesikia pia wanachuo kama hicho hapo Dar na wameanzisha kozi (naomba nisiitaje) yaani ni vichekesho tupu utafikiri hakuna wasimamizi wa vyuo vikuu. Hawana vifaa wanafunzi wengi wanalazimika kwenda kwenye library za vyuo vingine kutafuta taarifa....mi naona hicho chuo kiangaliwe vizuri wasije kutuzaletea mafisadi wa baadae. Misimooooo, napingua
 
Wandugu, Nimezipitia maada zote zilizochangiwa kwa uangalifu na haya ndio naweza changia.

i. kuna nini hapo kati ya hao lecturers? in maana uongozi wa chuo umeshindwa kutatua tatizo hilo ? well wanaweza badilisha hao walimu waliogoma but I think it has been too late. kwani wanasoma semester kwa muda gani ? na je hii ni wiki ya ngapi ?

ii. Kwa watu waliosoma UDSM kama mimi mambo kama haya hayakuwepo kabisa, wanafunzi walifuata elimu tu. kimsingi lecturers wanajua wanatakiwa kukufundisha nini na wewe kama mwanafunzi unatakiwa kuplay part yako. Elimu ndio msingi pekee wa maisha na what I know we are not studying for funny but for applying them in the future on a production environment.

iii. Am a graduate in computer science, what I have learnt in here is that the computer industry has been seen as the easiest subject which has never been the case, you can not study computer science effectively if you are not good in Mathematics and Physics I can easily show a correlation of these subjects with computer science, writing a good program from any language highly demands a sounding knowledge in mathematics and knowing mechanisms of various gates on logic circuits and computer architecture and complexity also demands a knowledge in Physics, are the said students competent in those areas ?

iv. My lecturers used to tell me that education is non bargain able comodity, it has come to my understanding that, that commodity is now bargainable at Tumaini University since students are now mandating on what they should be taught even though is not indicated in the course outline.

v. Hey students what you are taught now are for your use in your country, and government as well as your parents are investing much money so that you can all be productive in the future and be able to defend what you real know.

Kindly be serious with your education as you have only three years at maximum to grasp knowledge to be used in the industry.

Siku hizi kuna degree nying sana feki, watu wanapata very good GPAś ila ukiwaambia sasa fanya kitu fulani inakuwa tatizo kwani hawawezi kabisa.

Kimbia degree za kupendelewa na za CHUPI PIA kwani mwisho wa siku Mtapata shida nyie.

And you professor ? where are you getting all these irrelevant issues ? is your fellow staff competent or not ? why are you using students as your weapon ? A good measure for the lecturer is on deliverable , you can easily invite people to attend his/her class and see how does he/she teach rather than doing what you are doing.

Computer science is still a hot cake in town if said lecturers are not satisfiead with overall way on how the program is handled they better leave so that the university can learn and make alternatives for the betterment of the program if at all prevailing problems can not be resolved to lecturers satisfactions.

I am not sure if Prof Nkunya is a member here or not but i believe him being the head of Tanzania Commision for University - which i believe its there to oversee the whole operations of our universities in Tanzania (i stand to be corrected) can follow up on this.

Nimefundisha kwa bahati nzuri vyuo vyote vya umma na vya private baade nikaamua kujiajiri. Huko kunakoitwa private with few exceptions. Ni balaa kabisaaaaaaaaaaa. Mwanafunzi akifel basi unaonekana unamatatizo kumbe viwango vya wanafunzi wao wanaowachukua majority vipo chini saana. Huwezi kulinganisha na kufundisha sehem kama UDSM, unaflow kwa urahisi na unahakika unatengeneza product gani. Ukweli hata kwa wahadhiri wanaoenda kufundisha vyuo hivo wengi wanakuwa wanafuata pesa na wanacompromise quality
