Genocide denial: Rwandans take the fight beyond borders

Genocide denial: Rwandans take the fight beyond borders

1. Thanks for the answer, but i was talking to Bongolander.

2 . you are entitled to your opinion, in mine, the documentary was superb. we can equally dismiss the article above given the relationship between the author and your government but we still choose to counter his arguments with arguments. I suggest you do the same for Prof. Phillip.

here we go again indeed,....
1. France has an arrest warrant for Kagame.
2. the statistics which you claim are mere theories come from the national census of 1991 conducted by UNDP, UNFAP, CEA kwa ufadhili wa marekani na canada. Never has this census been in contention kwa muda wote since 1991 until watu walipoanza ku-question Kagame's statistics. so please, hebu lete source ya statistics zako ili wana JF wapime credibility yake, badala ya kubisha hii sensa iliyofanyika chini ya UN! unless you do that, you are the one who is distorting facts here.

Stop lying Mr Interahamwe.

2)By 1994, Rwanda's population stood at more than 7 million people comprising three ethnic groups: the Hutu (who made up roughly 85% of the population), the Tutsi (14%) and the Twa (1%). corng to this site Rwanda: A Brief History of the Country - Outreach Programme on the Rwanda Genocide and the United Nations

1. Wapi katika source yako inakataa census ya mwaka 1991?

2. Kutoka katika source yako mwenyewe nimepata hizi interesting facts, nadhani kwa vile wewe ndio umeleta source basi unakubaliana nazo by default, hivyo baadae usije ukazibishia:

"A new cycle of ethnic conflict and violence continued after independence. Tutsi refugees in Tanzania and Zaire seeking to regain their former positions in Rwanda began organizing and staging attacks on Hutu targets and the Hutu government. Ten such attacks occurred between 1962 and 1967, each leading to retaliatory killings of large numbers of Tutsi civilians in Rwanda and creating new waves of refugees."

Unaona wazi nani mwenye tatizo hapo.

Mr ubaguzi, tell me more, I guess your going to deny my nationality simply because I was born out of Rwanda, before you go far... please discrimination aside.

hahahaa. I was just interested since you are the ones who repeatedly accuse me of being an "undercover" rwandan masquarading as a Tanzanian. Kumbe you grew up as a Tanzanian, i wonder where in Tanzania did you get an expert knowledge enough to accuse me of being a Hutu extremist, FDLR, interahamwe and all that?

Only a Rwandan who grew up in Rwanda and experience the events of 1994 would know such a person, not a rwandan who until october 2014 would use a Zanzibari name as his ID! You sir, are a fake.

And where are you getting those statistics that it was majority Hutus that were killed?

RPF was busy fighting government forces do you think it was easier to abandon war fronts and opt to kill civilians?

Remember majeshi ya serikali yalikuwa yakihimiza Wa Hutu wote kukimbia na maeneo yaliyokuwa yakitekwa na majeshi ya RPA mara nyingi kulikuwa hakuna watu labda few Tutsi survivors.

Ushahidi ni idadi ya wakimbizi, more than 95% ya wahutu walikimbia and didn`t wait for RPA to come.

Walikuja kurudi baadae in 1996 after realizing that it was all lie from their leaders.

Wahutu wengi waliokufa walifia makambini either from Chorela na wengine kwenye mapigano nchini DRC.

Jmali there is a big point here. I think i have been saying this all along, this is why i am not happy with the disrespect to the tutsis who were killed.

Those who question whether Tutsis were killed or not, must be sick or ------. I do not think that there is a debate about that, at least here in Tanzania.

But the main problem is that there are people who are trying to have us believe that Hutus were not killed, and even those who admit that they were killed, are not having remorse at all and say it is good that they got killed. Hiyo ni akili sawa na ya Bagosora, ndio maana nasema muuaji ni muuaji tu. There has to be a way to bring to the book those who killed hutus during genocide.

Interhamwes killed hutus too, but they are only being punished for killing Tutsis, not for killing fellow Hutus, this is sick.

Really! ok, so what makes it factual and balanced? would like to have this debate with you jMali! JF members will make their own conclusion

To avoid being labeled a genocide denier I wish to declare from the outset that I believe that genocide was committed. However, until very recently (five or four years ago) the genocide was being referred to as "against Tutsis and moderate Hutus".

Then there was an official campaign by Rwanda (up to UN level I believe) to have it redefined by removing 'moderate Hutus' and making it officially against Hutus only. Is this not a betrayal of the Hutus who lost their lives for the same cause and sometimes for the deliberate defence of the Tutsis?

I think it is selfish, self serving and hypocritical. That also is falsifying history.

Ruge Opinion
Hebu pitia hii definition ya Genocide kwanza: It is a crime to plan or incite genocide, even before killing starts, and to aid or abet genocide: Criminal acts include conspiracy, direct and public incitement, attempts to commit genocide, and complicity in genocide.
kama definition bado ngumu kwako kuielewa usiogope kunyoosha kidole juu.
