Claim
A post on X by @Acholi_goddd claims that President Yoweri Museveni has responded and settled Frank Gashumba’s UGX 500 million challenge to pastors by declaring that all pastors are fake, using a video of Museveni speaking.

Video:

What we know
•Frank Gashumba’s
challenge offered up to UGX 500 million to any pastor, prophet or apostle who could demonstrate healing a critically ill patient under verifiable conditions.Read Here

•Jamiicheck traced the Video and found that the post uses an authentic video from Tayari West TV but the content dates back to 10 June 2026, when Museveni addressed the Ebola situation.
In that address, Museveni cautioned religious leaders against physically touching patients while claiming to heal them, emphasising that prayer should go alongside scientific and public-health measures.

•The on-screen text by Tayari TV “Okugamba kwa Purezidenti aha ndwara ya Ebola,” is a Lunyakitara phrase that identifies the video as the President’s address on Ebola.

JamiiCheck found no verified statement showing that Museveni addressed Gashumba’s challenge or declared that all pastors are fake.

Verdict: MISLEADING
The video is authentic but was taken from Museveni’s June 2026 address on Ebola prevention. It does not show him responding to Gashumba’s challenge or declaring that all pastors are fake. The post uses an older clip out of context.
