Very good discussion and also relevant to Tanzania. The book is a must read. I hope our leaders get to read it!
JF iko juu sana, katika thread ya "WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING/HAVE READ ambayo imo humu utaona kuwa wanajanvi walikwisha kisoma hiki kitabu na kushauri kuwa Jakaya angeshauriwa kukisoma ili aepukane na mindset ya kutegemea misaada toka nje kama engine ya kukua uchumu wetu!! Mwenzie Kagame sio tu kakisoma bali amemualika huyu mama mpaka Rwanda ; je mnaona mambo anayoyafanya mwanaume wa shoka kule Kigali? Huwezi kumfananisha na Vasco Dagama hata kidogo!!
Even if they did nothing changes coz the truth is, they dont give a shit about their citizens but their own good.I wish they did!
Huyu dada kiboko, she knows the topic wellini interviewer is equally good, he prepared well for the interview, he asked the right questions and we got good answers. Ngoja nianze kukisaka hicho kitabu
Ok, kuna some positives kwene arguments zake, lakini mie naona the main concern ni kuhusu uchumi wa dunia umejiestablish ktk misingi ipi..contemporarily. With current market economy in place no system will work for Africa. I don't need to be optimistic on this. I see no hope really.
my take: Aid and its conditionallities' priority is to benefit those who give aid and not the majoritiy poor who are supposed to receive the benefit, viongozi wa nchi zinazotoa misaada wako responsible kwa wananchi wao waliowachagua na kodi wanazolipa, haiwezekani wakawa wanachota pesa za walipa kodi wao na kuzileta bongo iwapo hazirudishi faida yoyote.
