Coming soon: Odessa classic music festival

The Odessa Classics music festival in June aims to promote Ukraine internationally while highlighting Odesa's credentials as one of the classical music capitals of Eastern Europe. The iconic allure of Odesa is a crucial factor in attracting international stars to participate in the festival, says organizer Alexey Botvinov: “If I’d come to many of the musicians with a proposal to perform in Kyiv, there is a good chance that they would have said “thanks, but unfortunately I am busy.” When the invitation is for Odesa, people are more inclined to make room in their schedules.”
