Havana - Historic Cuban leader Fidel Castro said Tuesday that he thinks the United States will attempt to occupy Libya through NATO, amid ongoing unrest to oust Libyan strongman Moamer Gaddafi.
'What is absolutely evident to me is that the United States government is not at all concerned about peace in Libya and will not hesitate to give NATO the order to invade that rich country, perhaps in a matter of hours or in very few days,' Castro wrote in an article published under his name in Cuban state media.
'An honest person will always stand against any injustice committed against any people in the world, and the worst of them all at this moment would be to keep quiet in the face of the crime that NATO is getting ready to commit against the Libyan people,' he said.
'The leadership of that warmongering organization urgently needs to do it. We have to denounce it!' wrote Castro, who is known to weigh in with his opinions on world events in Cuban state media.
He said that Gaddafi may be a controversial figure, but that the world is yet to find out 'how much truth and lies' there are in reports on recent events in Libya.

NB: Ingawa namheshimu Castro lakini kweli watu wanatofautiana kimtimzamo. Hatu humu JF hii nimeishuhudia kwa macho yangu mwenyewe!
