Nilikuwa natatizwa sana na jambo hili, na sikuwahi kupata daktari aliyenipa jibu la uhakika. Nimesoma article hii hapa chini na nafikiri nimepata mwanga kidooogo.
Can you take two antibiotics at the same time
An antibiotic is the drug, which slows or kills the growth of the bacteria. Antibiotics are the class of antimicrobials that is a large group, which consist of anti fungal, anti parasitic, and anti viral drugs. The host is relatively harmless from these drugs, and because of this reason they can be used for the treatment of the infections. Originally the term described those formulations that are derived from the living organisms; however, it is now applied to the antimicrobials like the sulfonamides too. Nowadays, antibiotics help a lot in the treatment of such illness like salmonella, tuberculosis, some form of the meningitis and syphilis. However, a question is raised by many that can you take two antibiotics at the same time?
Although a number of different kind of antibiotics are there, all of them work in any onetylenol 3 of these following ways. 1) Bactericidal antibiotics kill the bacteria. Penicillin known as the bactericidal. Usually a bactericidal either interferes with bacterium's cell formation or with its cell contents. 2) The bacteriostatic prevent the bacteria from being multiplied.
An antibiotic is prescribed to treat an infection that caused by the bacteria. Microorganisms like parasites, fungi, and bacteria are targeted by the antibiotics. However, antibiotics are not effective against the viruses. Therefore, if you are affected by the infection, before use the antibiotics, it is very important to be sure about the reason of the infection, whether the infection is caused by the bacteria or by the virus. If the antibiotics are used incorrectly or overdosed, it creates a chance for the bacteria to become resistant. And then the effectiveness of antibiotics will become less against that kind of bacterium.
However, different thoughts are available there about the use of two antibiotics at a time. Some said that it is harmful and some said that it is not. As an example, Dr. Hanish Babu said it is absolutely ok. Not much problem of the drug interactions is there with two antibiotics. As like who use the metronidazole and ciprofloxacin antibiotics at a time, metronidazole interferes with breakdown of the alcohol in body that results in vomiting and nausea. And ciprofloxacin interacts with certain vitamin tabs that contain calcium, zinc or iron and antacids. During the intake, all these supplements would be avoided.
Another hand, Dr. Anand Hinduja told that, generally it is not advisable to take 2 antibiotics except in severe infections or mixed infections cases. Different classes of the antibiotics decrease the efficiency of each other's and leads to a greater risk of the side effects too. Also they can nullify the effect of each other and the infection can turn chronic because of inappropriate usage of the antibiotics.
