Pierre Nkurunzinza is right.
The time he was elected to serve as a President of Burundi by the Members of Parliament, the Current Constitution was not in Place. Therefore this term limit as outlined in the constitution came later.
And as a common principle in Law. The New Law cannot be used for the issues prior to its enactment, therefore the count for the term limits should start the day when the Constitution was signed as a binding document to all Burundians.
