I came across this Video and got shocked as I have been following up Bobi Wine"s Campaigns recently seeing how he is sacrificing his life for the people of Uganda because the Police are on side of Museveni.

I think this video is manipulating the Public view to be against Bobi Wine

Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, is a presidential candidate representing the National Unity Platform (NUP) party in the general election scheduled to take place in Uganda on January 15, 2025.

Claim

A video clip has been circulating online showing Bobi Wine in a radio studio, where he is heard saying that he does not care what happens to the people of Uganda even if they lose their lives because his children are safe abroad.

“I'm not even thinking about what happens to Ugandans anymore, even if people lose their lives. My children are already safe abroad. At this point, the only thing that matters to me is taking the dictator out.”

Veridict

Digital monitoring conducted by JamiiCheck, using Google reverse image search and cross-referencing of video sources, established that the video had been manipulated and taken out of context through the use of artificial intelligence.

In the original video published on YouTube by KK TV Uganda, in which Kyagulanyi was interviewed by Amani FM on December 6, 2025, he stated that their objective was to liberate the people of Uganda, noting that some citizens are not affiliated with any political party. A video also posted here.

The video was manipulated by removing the original audio and replacing it with an artificial intelligence generated voice. An analysis of the footage shows that the lip movements do not correspond with the audio being heard.

In the original video, Kyagulanyi stated that, "and the so-called opposition. This is between the oppressor and the oppressed. I'm sure you've seen so many people wearing NRM t-shirts but coming to support them.”

“I'm sure you've seen even people that profess in favor of NRM, but criticizing and condemning the wrongs that are being done.”

“So, here, we want to liberate the people of Uganda. Some people of Uganda are actually not belonging to any political party. I've said it many times, that for us We are not a political party, we just have a political party, but we are people power. We started out as a loose political movement, so we don't want to be identified as a political party. The political party called National Unity Platform is our electoral platform.”

“But while we are fighting for the people of Uganda, the soldiers that are apolitical, but they vote. The police officers that are supposed to be apolitical, but they vote.”

“So when we are sending out a message, we don't identify as opposition, because you will agree with me that dictators invent their own opposition.”

“You have the so-called opposition, whose major preoccupation is their position, and there will be a composition that threatens their position.”

“Majority of the so-called opposition members, they don't want to put an end to the Museveni dictatorship. They just want to improve their lives within the Museveni dictatorship. So for us, we are revolutionaries that are willing to work with everybody and anybody, whether you identify yourself as opposition or those that are political, and even those that are within the NRIM"
