Arusha Politics: Why CHADEMA's popularity is waning...

For the first time in Arusha politics, ccm is smelling blood of victory....the real reason behind ccm new impetus is that Chadema has made some serious political miscalculations....underestimating the average voter's pertinent needs in Arusha Municipality.

here are some of Chadema's political gaffes..

1) Chadema think anti-ccm runs too deep that whatever chadema national leaders say voters will jump at it without expressing a desire for interactive dialogue...ccm via Lowassa did the same in 2010 parliamentary elections....and the disastrous electoral verdict is there for everyone to see...Arusha voters have the mind of their own too...that is lesson number one..

2) Arusha Municipality is a merchant city....growing on an environment of orderliness...the city can hardly endure Lema's political mischief for too long...with lema testing and stretching our limits of tolerance when he decided to stay behind bars and urging us to coalesce around him...that colossal stupidity had backfired before his eyes...for hardly a day even his fellow tribesmen of Chagga could hardly sustain the shuttle buses' strike for a day as the realities of astronomical cost of living in Arusha began to take its devastating toll....the lesson number two we vote for whoever we calculate will advance our personal causes and Chadema at the moment is misreading our collective political resolve....It is time we tell Lema, at the ballot box-of course, he does not own Arusha and never will...we sent him to legislate in the Augusta House not to be a rabble-rousing pedestrian or a belligerent demagogue....we have those losers among us in our streets but we do not send them to the House for that matter....

3) Learning from past by-elections voter turn out is hardly a third of the general election turnout...voter fatigue and apathy seems to be the in-thing favouring ccm in many ways...only ccm fanatical followers do turn-up and vote but Chadema ends up with huge non-voting attendances....which time and time again have proved futile in changing the course...of our political complexion.....lesson number three....expect only less than 40, 000 to turn up in the envisaged by-elections and ccm will snuff out most of the 3 to 4 Ward Councillors now up for grab....in a way that will be good pragmatism...Arusha demands orderliness to prosper and Chadema is not yet ready to provide her with that bubbling quest....at the moment permits for development projects have all but come to a standstill...the real reason is Chadema's refusal to listen to an average voter's needs....that unless municipal Council continues to work in orderly manner....jobs will not be created particularly in the construction industry....and the Arusha economy decimated by low yields in agricultural, tourism and mining sectors can hardly afford....anymore disruptions unless of-course we are stupidly determined to fail as a society....

4) After Chadema have been routed at the ballot box despite attracting huge public rallies: and, may be those at the national level will begin earnestly to ask us the BIG QUESTION....what are our aspirations...I am not alone when I say since I can not vote for ccm with a clean conscience; for then, by abstaining in the incoming by elections is my best communicative means of punishing both ccm and Chadema for just one tantrum....behaving like Siamese twins......

Mkuu Rutashubanyuma, you wrote so much and so many illusive things. Of all I liked one sensible phrase "that is how I feel what about you? " I believe you didn't do any investigation to jot down the conclusion about CHADEMA or any other opposition political party in Arusha municipality. Let's wait and see, the ballot box will tell when the moment comes.
 
Mkuu, if you havent prospered for the past 50 years, what makes you think the orderliness you are talking here will??

mischief?.........completely blinded by what the police force is doing against CHADEMA leaders and supporters in Arusha.
 
when macain introduced sarah palin as a vp candidate everyone was excited except the psychologists who termed this psychological event as a ''palin factor'' which would only survive for few weeks.
i think this is what is happening in arusha and probably in mbeya,Dar and Mwanza.the "chadema factor"has started waning,the lema factor has gone!
i remember one article saying ccm was tired but chadema was not ready.im afraid if this is not another NCCR of 1995?
 
Mkuu I guess this is how far your analytical ability can go...if I may ask what facts is your analysis based upon?
 
Your ID totaly reflect what you're talking. Besides all you have seen only Arusha, Mbeya, Dar and Mwanza? Pls don't argue like a fool, and if you no nothing its better to keep silence.

You may be right in your analysis but you haven't taken into account the waning popularity of CCM which is currently engulfed in a series of scandals and internal strife. In my opinion, CHADEMA is prospering not because people like it very much but rather because CCM has simply failed to run the nation. With the way things are it will take radical transformation of CCM to save it from its current downward spiral in popularity. Any way time will tell come 2015.

Ngongo tukubaliane kuwa hakuna mtu ambaye yupo perfect 100%, Lema ana mapungufu yake lakini tukubaliane nao polisi wanamapungufu makubwa sana kuliko unayoyaona ya Lema. Hii ni kutokana na kutekeleza siasa za maelekezo. Siupendi ushabiki kwa sababu unazuia akili kufanya kazi vizuri lakini migogoro mingi ya Arusha ni ya kupika ili Lema aonekane hafai ukichangia na umri wake alionao. Nilishawahi kupost humu ndani migogoro mingi ya Arusha inasababishwa na CCM kulikosa jimbo hili ambalo kwao ni lulu.
Ikiwa migogoro ya CDM na serikali inachangia kuzorotesha maendeleo, vipi miaka 10 ya Felix Mrema kwa wewe uliyekuwepo Arusha imesaidia nini zaidi ya kuinufaisha CCM na watu wake na kuiacha Arusha nyuma kimaendeleo? Amani ni kigezo kinachotumika sana kuwapumbaza watu sehemu ambayo ina upinzani wa kutosha. Hebu jiulize Tanzania yetu na amani ya miaka 50 inalingana na hali halisi ya rasilimali zetu kimaendeleo?
Ngongo nakukubali sana kwa changamoto zako jukwaani lakini nachelea kusema inaugomvi binafsi na Lema na ndiyo maana kila Lema anapokandiwa lazima uchangie tofauti.
Mwisho ni wajibu wa Lema nae kusoma alama za nyakati, migogoro inayoweza kuepukika ni bora akaiepuka na atambue serikali ipo hawezi kufanya vile anavyojisikia.

Mkuu nakubaliana na wewe kwamba Polisi wanamchango mkubwa sana katika vurugu zinazoendela Arusha lakini pia Lema kama mbunge alitakiwa kutumia akili na busara za kawaida kuzikwepa.Mara kadhaa Mheshimiwa Lema ameshindwa kutumia akili na busara za kawaida kuendesha siasa zake kwa mfano suala la yeye kufanya maandamano na mikutano bila kibali angeweza kulikwepa kabisa lakini ni yeye mwenyewe aliyehamashisha vijana kumsindikiza mahakamani kwenye kesi yake,kesi inapohairishwa anaandamana na vijana toka mahakamani hadi ofisini kwake wakati mwingine anakwenda kufungua matawi na kuizungumzia kesi yake kwenye mikutano yake ?.




 
Tupo pamoja kwa hili la mheshimiwa kutembea kwa miguu toka mahakamani hadi ofisini kwake halina mantiki na halimuongezei chochote hata kama angeliacha. Sasa nilichosikia ambacho ndicho kilichopelekea wale jamaa 45 kukamatwa ni eti Lema kapaziwa wale wafuasi wake huwa anawapa 10,000.00 wakishamaliza kumsindikiza!!!!

Nakubaliana na wewe CCM wamevuruga uchumi,michezo,utamaduni,siasa,elimu na huduma za kijamii.

Tanzania inasheherekea miaka 50 ya uhuru hatuna umeme wa uhakika !.Tanzania ina mito,mabwawa na maziwa lakini bado kilimo chetu kinategemea mvua ya mwenyezi Mungu !.Tanzania ina madini ya Dhahabu,Tanzanite,Almasi na madini ya vito vya aina mbali mbali lakini utashangaa madini yote hayo hayana mchango wa maana kwenye uchumi wetu !.

Tanzania ina kila kitu ambacho kama kingetumiwa kwa faida ya taifa hakika leo hii uchumi wetu ungekuwa una shindana na South Afrika.Tanzania ni masikini kwasababu imekosa siasa safi[Bora] na uongozi bora,CCM wameifikisha Tanzania hapa tulipo [umasikini].CCM imefikia hatua ya kutugawa kwa misingi ya dini ili iendelee kubakia madarakani ebu rejea uchaguzi wa Igunga badala ya kuinadi ilani yao ya uchaguzi CCM ilijikita zaidi kuelezea Hijjab !.Ilihakikisha inawatumiwa viongozi wa dini wenye njaa kali na wasiokuwa na maadili kuwavuruga wapiga kura bila kujali mustakabali ya nchi.

CDM lazima waje na siasa zenye majibu yote ya niliyoyaeleza hapo juu bahati mbaya mpaka sasa sijaona mkakati zaidi ya muendelezo wa makosa yale yale wanayofanya CCM "kudanganya wananchi".Unapokuwa na viongozi wanaohamashisha migomo ya daladala kwa nia ya kujiongozea umaarufu wa kisiasa na si kutatua kero za wananchi hakika siwezi kushangilia hata kidogo eti labda nishangilie kwasababu anayetudanganya ni mwanasiasa wa chama cha upinzani ?.

Yote kwa yote Lema is very strong na hii inatokana na Polisi wanavyomfanyia hivyo anapata huruma za wananchi na wanasiasa wanavyompakazia ndiyo wanavyompa daraja la juu

Mkuu hili la kuwapa 10,000/= wafuasi wake sina uhakika nalo wala hakuna ushahidi wa moja kwa moja tuwasubiri wanaomtuhumu kama watakuja na ushahidi utakaokubalika mahakamani.Nimewahi kusikia mahali pikipiki zinalipwa tsh 10,000/= kwanda Kisongo kumsalimia Mheshimiwa Lema nia ni kuonyesha jinsi wananchi na wapiga kura wake wanavyomjali !.

Mkuu habari za kusikia mara nyingi sipendi kuzitilia maanani sana.Kuna jambo moja nimewahi kuwauliza mashabiki wake je kuna umuhimu wa Mheshimiwa kukataa dhamana ? Hakuna aliyetoa majibu ya maana.Je wapiga kura wake wanaridhishwa na msimamo wa mbunge wao kukaa gerezani ilihali dhamana ilikuwepo ?.Je huko kususia dhamana kutaendela mpaka lini ? au J3 atakubali dhamana na kutuletea story nyingine ?.

 
it's true you have thought a lot and some things look true but who are the majority of the people in arusha can they reason the way you reason?and if not chadema then what other party, cause all chadema has done in arusha is to show its power against ccm which also the way it has reacted is extremely silly, i believe chadema stands a greater chance than ccm, and people weigh apart from the rallies is there any development?and also it depends on the candidates as well because not all the people in ccm party are crooks so its not all about the party issue its about candidates as well so each party need serious people. this my view but im glad the fear that exist in tanzanian,people in arusha have shown that it can be overcomed by choosing chadema and the government wasting time fighting them but later giving in to chadema , if i could be the government i would accept the loss and try hard with the few i have to win back the trust of people for example our president could take a cheap popularity by firing the guy who called his citizens rats, then at least people in arusha could easily see the government is concerned,

the government need to look for every opportunity to take arusha back in 2015 but wisely.
