One thing in Arsenal's favour with Saliba is this has been in the pipeline for months. Good contacts with ASSE and the player, deal was done (other than very last details) and he wanted the move. Spurs' bid complicates things, but AFC will hope they have already done the work.

#AFC have agreed a payment structure with Saint-Etienne, which involved paying most of the fee for Saliba next summer. But Spurs have told #ASSE they are willing to offer a bigger slice of the fee up front and they too are willing to send him back on loan [via @pbsportswriter]
