INEERS' DAY 2010
MLIMANI CITY CONFERENCE CENTRE, SEPTEMBER 2 - 3, 2010
The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) wishes to inform the engineering​

community and the general public at large that the 8th Annual Engineers' Day (AED2010) will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 2 and 3, 2010 at MlimaniCity Conference Hall, along Sam Nujoma Road, DSM

. The AED 2010 is certainly a big convergence point for engineers from all fields of engineering practice that will incorporate two main activities, namely: A Learned Discourse and Exhibitions of Technical/Commercial technologies and products
​

. The Learned Discourse will be on the theme
​

: "The contribution of Engineering and Technology towards the success of KILIMO KWANZA", and will focus on the following sub-themes;

a. Infrastructure Development for KILIMO Kwanza;
b. Human Resource Development and Research for KILIMO Kwanza;
c. Investment Opportunities;
d. Embedded Environmental Issues.

Competent and seasoned practising professionals have been invited to author and present papers on the sub themes, and others to be discussants of the papers.

The exhibitions will be staged alongside the 8th AED 2010 and will include both technical/engineering and commercial exhibitions; and hence, the Board wishes to invite engineering organisations, firms, institutions and traders/vendors to make use of this opportunity to exhibit their engineering services and products. The potential benefits to the exhibitors include:

​

a. Opportunity to publicise and market their products/services to a
wide engineering community;
b. Sharing experience with professionals and authorities;
c. Better understanding of the needs and requirements of the
market;
d. Establishment of business contacts; and
e. Creation of awareness of available engineering support services.

This is therefore to invite all engineers, engineering firms and the general public to participate in this event. Since the theme cuts across all engineering fields, the Board expects most engineers to attend and benefit from the discourse.

All professional engineers who will attend this event will have an added advantage of scoring 16 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme.
Confirmation of participation is through payment of registration fee of
Tshs 200,000/= per participant. The fee covers conference facilities and materials, lunch and beverages. The deadline for confirmation and payment is August 15, 2010. Fees may be paid directly to the Engineers Registration Board by cash or cheque. Up country participants may also send their fees by money fax or express money orders or pay through CRDB or NBC, ERB Bank accounts.
