Abrar Primary School is a proposed name for anew Muslim School proposed to built at Vitendo Street, Misugusugu, Kibaha. Pwani, Tanzania.
The proposed Abrar Primary School is an upgrade and enhancement of the now existing Madrasatul Abrar.
We are seeking a creative, dynamic, motivated and energetic individual to fill the position of Headmaster of Abrar Primary School.
Position title: Headmaster
Reporting to: Facilitator of Madrasatul Abrar.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To supervise and manage transitional transformation from Madrasa to fully fledged Muslim primary school.
To supervise and offer exemplary leadership on establishing a school which secures its success trend from the existing Madrasatul Abrar and instill improvements, ensuring high quality education for all its students and good standards of learning and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Headmaster will include but not limited to:
i. Hold and articulate clear Islamic values and moral purpose focused on providing a World class Education to the students and reflecting the character of the school.
ii. Demonstrate optimistic personal behaviour, positive relationships and attitudes towards the students, staff, parents and members of the local and wider community.
iii. Demand ambitious standards of achievement, support and challenge, instilling a strong sense of accountability in staff for the impact of their work on students' outcomes.
iv. Ensure that all those involved in the school are committed to its aims, motivated to achieve them, and involved in meeting long, medium and short term objectives and targets which secure the educational success of the school.
v. Promote creativity, innovation and the use of appropriate new technologies to achieve excellence.
vi. Maintain sound procedures for the security, supervision and maintenance of the school environment, ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment regulations are met.
vii. Provide educational leadership, which includes Staff development and growth, Curriculum implementation and evaluation and implementation of comprehensive plan for the school.
viii. Build and maintain a high performance culture leading to high standards of teaching and learning throughout the school and hold the school accountable for student achievement.
ix. Streamline an effective administrative and management structure that can effectively utilize the resources to run day -to-day affairs of the school.
x. Build a collaborative learning culture with other schools, agencies and partners (especially with the schools with higher performance) continue to build effective learning to promote excellence in teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Proven successful leadership and management experience at least in a senior team or as a Headmaster or Deputy Headmaster will be an advantage.
Recent and relevant training and professional development in relation to school curriculum, management, teaching and learning will be an added advantage.
Other Essential Requirements for this post:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Kiswahili and English.
Excellent Computing and data management skills and use of ICT as a teaching, learning, communication and administrative tool.
Willingness to embrace new ideas and be comfortable with and proactive in change.
Proven ability to develop a clear vision of the school’s future development.
Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision
Proven ability to promote a strong, positive moral standards and maintain Islamic values.
Should be a modern administrator able to pursue and maintain things in modern ways.
