After he is gone, then what?

Nyani Ngabu,
How did it come that yu do not see the reason that the very same people who were so much eager to see corruption is rooted out are now against him?? The reason is; They are the very same people just enabling each other to eat more and more the very same small cake. How long do yu think it will take before the economy collapse?? Within no time. That is why he came up and tried to trim the number and leave only a small number chewing the log. one day, it will bend and give way. Time will tell

Haya mliokuwa mnasema NYANI NGABU sijui ni marehemu gani ndio huyu hapa sasa

Everything you mention in the first paragraph has very little or non to do with central Gov, I came to realize some Tanzanians they hate the idea of being regulated, but at the same time they fail to regulate themselves and they think the idea of one nation must be imported from abroad rather than having the one which works for us and for the interests of foreigners. We all know there laws guiding press freedom and freedom of expression, but in mysterious ways, Tanzania media houses seem to "purposely" forget them. Civil society is still enjoying the freedom of doing what was agreed to do, Civil society is still enjoying the freedom of doing what was agreed to do, it only starts to get awkward when a group of civil society abandons their purpose and starts to engage in politics as if they're elected voice of the people.

Then spit it out, the only thing we ask is transparency! We are totally fine with whichever system be it monarchy or dictatorship just spit out.

If you can't find information then you haven't looked hard enough, what is the purpose of your local MP, why don't you start with him/her. I wonder if you've even interacted with them, you should know part of their job is to inform you what's going on and collect your views on any subject troubling you.

Shikamooo Nyani Ngabu. I'm happy to see your thread! Good!!

Ndugu Makupa, i second your argument. I am seiling in the same boat with you. It is true, the President is doing a great job and he may have very good intendions but the only problem is on sustainability of what he is doing. He is a President and more so a very good one but he is a human being. He wont be there forever. When he leaves office, those with ill motives will surface and turn the country upside down. The only thing that would ensure sustainability is having a strong institutional framework (agood constitution, good other laws and regulations etc). Countries which are prosperous like Sweden and Denmark have strong institutions. They dont rely on a particulay person. Whoever is elected is supposed to implement the blue print provided by the strong institutions. That is what we need.

Umenikumbusha Jasiri Muongoza njia mawingu!

..system haiko OK kwasababu imewekewa "matundu" mengi yanayowezesha watawala kui-abuse.

Hakuna positive results.. hata flyover ni negative results?
Judgement yako inatumia political attitude and biasness mkuu..

Will things revert back to how they were before he took the reigns of power?
Well, this is the easiest question to answer; and in fact we have answered this question countless times here and elsewhere.

The leadership style he has adapted, that of 'one-man show' will ensure that every bit of his legacy crumbles the moment he is out of power.

Take one example, the popular fight against corruption. He has fought it by sheer force; no support mechanisms that will ensure people would have internalized the fight in a way that would support the fight. There are no reward mechanisms, only intimidation is relied upon a a means that will deliver results.

Guess what, even now, people have devised ways of doing their thing, intimidation notwithstanding.

In short, what ever Magufuli is doing has no sustainability beyond his leadership.

His only legacy will be of physical structures, roads, bridges, Stieglers gorge, Dodoma and so forth.

In short, his leadership has no philosophical articulation. No ideas/thought about anything concerning his leadershi.

However, biggest leadership failure that will always be around him is his antagonistic, forceful approach that is leading to the loss of our national cohesion. This will be a big disappointment for many who had started of with optimism about his leadership..
Now he is proving daily that he is incapable of uniting the people of this great nation.

Sooner or later, he will be relying solely on state power to keep him in office.

Mkuu,you have said it all.
